Our goal is to bring into focus the Legacy Era, but more specifically the Second Imperial Civil War. Play as either the tyrannical Krayt Empire, freedom-seeking Galactic Alliance Remnant or the obscure Confederation Revenant.
Something I made a while. It's still not completely finished, when it's done I think you'll really like it.
Could you please help guys at Clone Wars - Sub-Mod make something similar? What they've made is good, but this is 100% like the original movie crawl...
Cool! And how did you make this video? Is there a tool, or can Windows Movie Maker this?
I used several tools: Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator to do most of it, and lastly I used Movie Maker to compress and finalize the video.
I followed a couple online tutorials to make it. They are easy enough to follow that I think anyone could do it. I had barely any experience and I made this, which I think is pretty good ;)
There is a XML-File named Starwars3DTextCrawl, isn't it important too? I discovered it yesterday, and i thought, it is possible to make this videos on this way too.
Yes it is.
I actually didn't know about that file. I'm gonna have to look into that now!

That's it! I gotta go back and watch the movies again! XD
I think it's pretty good. But it lacks some sentences about the current situation where the player is. In the old trilogy sentences it was always something like: "There is the second death star above Endor but there is a small resistance group formating". Something that rounds up all the information. It just breaks to abruptly in the end in my humble opinion. Otherwise this is really a great and short description of how what is going in the Legacy era and the Second Imperial Civil War.
You make good points, I might go back and edit it when it's fully completed. Since I haven't really decided at exactly what point in the war the mod starts, this is more generic and lets you know the overall circumstances. I think it is fitting to play when you start a new GC, since they are open-ended.
