Alright, so this has been on Youtube for a month now. I completely forgot about uploading it here for some reason. Note: Please ignore the text saying that the laser gun sound will be changed, because it won't be.

The link works fine for me. We're not changing the gun sound because everyone else I've talked to likes it. Chances are you won't hear it that often, because the pistol is the weakest weapon, and will most likely be used for last resort when you don't have any ammo or money. All the weapons have different sounds.
Yeah, the sound needs some tweaking for sure, it was part of the candidates I made for applying to the mod.
In the future the sounds will be a lot more balanced.

That gun sound made me stop the video.
I think if on one of the levels you make it like strobe lights to the beat somehow, that would be awesome. Or any kind of flashy, seizure-inducing effect would be nice. It looks awesome though. 5/5 so far, and basic laser sound reminds me of the old days with the really old laser tag games.
I think that would be a bad idea even if I could figure out a way, because it could actually give people seizures. We do have some nice effects in certain maps though. There will be plenty of other nice laser sounds, and I'm actually thinking of changing the laser pistol sound. (It will still sound pretty similar but less annoying. It gets really old.
Why do you look like a WWII soldier? and pistol sound is... ok, but hurts my ears... good luck with the mod anyway!
