Lands of Loriana is an open-world adventure map that will make exploration essential. It will have many unique elements to it, and won't require any mods at all!
THIS MOD IS DEAD, I'M SORRY TO SAY IT
Mojang kept updating Minecraft. Normally you'd think this was good, and of course it was aswell, but it kept breaking our creations (especially redstone-creations). Entire dungeons would need to be remade, and after several times of reconstructing several different dungeons, we had to stop. It was simply impossible to continue like this. We weren't able to continue working forward, something that of course broke the spirit wanting to finish this.
Anyways, I'm NOT saying this IS THE FINAL, no.
At one point Mojang will most likely lower the number of updates shiping out, release a mod API/Plugin API, or something to that degree.
Then the team might gather once more to talk real open-world Minecraft RPG.
But until then: Thanks for all support we've got, it's been real fun.

Story
Aegis had gained the love of the people, and fought for the throne. Although he held his grasp of the throne for long, the king was eventually forced to surrender his lordship to Aegis in despair.
King Aegis the Great could now rule the land, but he turned out not to be as great as the people first thought...
Two-hundred years later, the family of Aegis still holds the throne strong. King Aegis III, although old and senile, keeps his place on the throne. The people still suffer from King Aegis the Great's insanity, and are forced to forever worship what he perceived to be their true rulers, the cows. The town of Silverspring, where the king resides, has been split. With the economy running rampant, people losing vital parts of their day-to-day life, and a rebellion rising, they live in confusion and fear. The lands are growing more and more dangerous, and the monarch's power is only growing stronger.
You wake up in an odd pig farm, remembering nothing. The earth quakes, then ends as suddenly as it began. From where you stand, you can see much of the land, and it bears an uncanny familiarity...

Essentially, we're looking for talented builders/writers that feel they can contribute to this project in some way. Is this Mod going to be finished? Im only asking, because it looks like an amazing mod, and I've been looking forward to playing this one for quite some time. Is it finished? And if not, Approximately how long do you estimate it will be before it is done?

ATM we are taking a break, many in the team (including me) are a bit tired. we are coming back to it at some point though

This break is now over and we're back in business, with a demo release right around the corner. Somewhere...
I would really like to be a part of this map. It looks really nice, & I would like to learn how to create & make maps that are this big(&even BIGGER) & have this much depth & detail in it. (fyi I already replied back to your guys email already.)
You guys should add non-snowy taiga like forests.
We are currently working on adding terrain (and the demo, of course), and that is definitely something we're adding!
