Ever played Half-Life? I bet you did.
The world of Half-Life (Black Mesa) is really full of impressive imaginations and really awesome stuffs. HEV armor, THE Crowbar, Tripmine, Satchel, Gluon Gun, Headcrab, Vortigaunt, Houndeye, ... The idea has been prove very successful, making Half-Life one of the best FPS game in all times.
"So what about playing Half-Life within Minecraft?" I thought.
So here we have idea of the mod - LambdaCraft.
The project begun in 13.2.4 and has been running for four months.As we are progressing gradually, currently lots of elements in Half-Life 1 has been implemented already.

Hmmm. Mod seems to be pretty dead. No download link for Minecraft 1.7.10. The main webpage domain lambdacraft.cn cannot even be resolved. It is a shame such a great thing is no longer supported :(

I just recently tried this mod today for Feed the Beast on 1.6.4
Everything about this is spot on for Half-Life! The modder did an amazing job, and I hope to see more Half-Life mobs soon!
