Lambda Wars (formerly Half-Life 2: Wars) brings the struggle between the human resistance and their Combine overlords to a multiplayer real-time strategy setting. The Lambda Wars beta only requires Alien Swarm installed to play. It features 3 multiplayer game modes: Sandbox, Annihilation and Overrun, showcasing the Rebels and Combine playable factions and a full-fledged RTS interface and HUD. There is also a singleplayer tutorial and a handful of singleplayer missions.

"Painting the Resistance symbol on our base is not a stupid idea, it's not like the combine have airships" The last words of a rebel residing at this base.

I get your point, those logos need to be sparser and spread out (like in HL2) sized down!

And keep them off the roof the Resistance has no real air power or transport to speak of so having them there is kind of pointless :/

I understand why you guys would prefer it smaller, but the lambda signs are for the teamcollouring. And with this size you can see better for which team the buildings are.

The Lambda's are primarily there so multiple players using the Rebel faction can tell who owns which structure (the lambda's being coloured to match the player that owns it). In this example the Yellow team player owns these structures, if they had been build by the Blue team player they would have Blue Lambdas.

They are also there to help player tell their structures from civilian buildings that appear on some maps.

Yeah, of course but they don't need to be that big obviously. I can understand them being on the roofs since this is an RTS (on the sides would be better actually), because IRL no sane Rebel would dare make such a huge target on his base indicating that it is, a Resistance base.

I'll think that rebel buildings should be shacks and stuff made out of scrap. I bet thay're not going to build proper buildings.
Also they need ability to copture and convert unused buildings.

True that ^^

Maybe when Rebels occupy a neutral building, a Lambda marker is placed on it to assume its control.

Not if he would be limited to only 1 unit for entire round. He should be an stealth unit capable of using only crowbar. Smack or throw and if target not dead? Run!
