what happens is that Micheal and Shaun are at the prison. While K.i.t.t was in the 1957 Chevy BelAir. The cops come and they start running and since K.i.t.t is in that body he cant go so fast. So k.i.t.t goes to the docks again throws the car into the ocean. then a bit later Shaun and This one guy(Forgot his name) are walking out of their work and looks at the camera's. And says Micheal's car don't have a scratch on it but it was a recording. When they get to the garage Micheal is under the K.I.F.T(a.k.a K.i.t.t now.) Micheal gets out from under the car and k.i.t.t starts up and the guy yells you didn't!. k.i.t.t says he did sir and let me tell you this body fit's me like a glove! That's what happens :) And yes i am a major knight rider fan.

oh yeah, i remember that, the microchip of KITT's old body was taken and then assembled with the new body which is called KIFT.
