This is a mod made for people who liked JKO's campaign but still want to be able to use all of their skins from JKA. This mod's focus is on porting Outcast's missions to the newer engine while trying to keep gameplay balanced and letting you use whatever mods you want from JKA. All with the storyline kept as intact as possible with the main focus being on simply getting the missions to work as intended. Some other bonuses included - such as scripts, new music and a new ui for single player.
JOA v3 has been uploaded, this will hopefully be the last major update. After at least 3 years in the making, most major bugs have been fixed. Cutscene animations, objectives, the skating glitch on yavin swamp, shader conflicts with academy, not being able to dual wield on ns_streets and many more bugs have been fixed. Big thanks to user sanguinehipster at jkhub.org for fixing many of these bugs.
His mod can be found here: Jkhub.org
Some small bugs still remain, the Galak boss fight on doom_shields doesn't work perfectly and some shaders may still flicker, but I'd say I've probably spent enough time working on this now. Unless any major gameplay breaking bugs are found, this is the final version of my mod.
If you can understand this tutorial, but have a different primary language, this is the tutorial for you.
Hopefully the final release of my JOA mod. This mod lets you play Outcast's campaign in Academy's engine, some bonuses included. Requires ownership of...

Some much needed fixes, a new extras submenu with mission select (for outcast anyway), and a small handful of new skins to add some variety.
I found a dead body in one of the cells from kejim_base level with no texture
I'll check which model it uses, and if I can't get it to load I'll just script it to disapear.
All prisoners in that mission have no specific name making it so I can't remove it, I guess we'll just have to live with it.
No problem
Oh, never mind, I fixed it, sorry about that.
It was a problem with the .npc, not the map. Their skin wasn't loading on Artus_Topside either.
yo se algunas cosas sobre modear pero animar no aunque si decides enseƱarme puedo ayudarte de cualquier forma estoy preparado para moddear en algunas otras cosas por si te interesa
I had to use google translate =), but... I really don't know much about mapping, and I just started looking into animation, so I don't think I'm the one to teach you, and I don't really need help with anything else, but thanks anyway
I need people with experience animating in JA, and a decent mapper to help me really finish the mod. I need to either port JO's animations, or else redo them, and I would like to redo the yavin_swamp map to fix the stupid dual-layer skating glitch. I'll try to see if I can do some of this myself, and the mod is in a pretty much finished state, but I could really use some help.
So I looked into porting JKO animations to JKA, and it seems they use a different number of bones, also the format they're in makes them unfriendly to editing... In JA, we have all the animations in their original format before compilation, the same can't be said about Outcast, unfortunately.
An interesting addition, as I usually loved JO more than JA... I wonder whether you managed to move the animations of Jo to JA? Does Red Baldarek (Chiss Bartender) still tries to clean the glass of Ruby Bliels? =) Just curious, as a lot of good animations from JO were cut in the final JA.
No, unfortunately I don't know how to port animations, though I might look into it. Though, I doubt JA can handle that many animations, but thanks for the input =)
That's what I thought... Still it's a nice addition to the mods. Thanks a lot for your work and respect for good games.
Ok, I finally got around to adding some media. Sorry, I was away for a couple days and forgot to add some when I got back.
