Welcome to Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith Remastered! This installation file will install the JKGFXMOD the Mysteries of the Sith Neural Upscale Texture Pack, Jedi Knight Neural Upscale Texture Pack and the Enhancement Mod for JkGfxMod (MotS Edition) 0.40 all together in a nice installer! The FOV Mod is also been added. This also patches the game with the unofficial patch. All mods can be downloaded and installed separatly if you desire.
***Installation***
Run the JediKnightMOTSRemastered.exe and install the mod into your Jedi Knight Dark forces 2 game directory.
***Configuration***
Open the Jedi Knight Remastered Configuration Guide and follow the steps in there for configuring the Mods settings.

Mysteries of the Sith Neural Upscale Texture Pack

This is a replacement texture pack for Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith. These textures were upscaled using ESRGAN and a custom model. The Jedi Knight Neural Upscale Texture Pack also needs to be installed to your Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith directory, because the games share a large amount of assets. This texture pack is intended for use by mod authors as a base for their own high-resolution retexture projects. Although this texture pack is usable without further changes, the textures in this pack are quite raw. Most of them have artifacts from the upscaling process, which in a complete effort should be manually removed by an artist.

yeah hopefully we can get someone to update the rest of the textures. How do you add parallax to the textures? I noticed some textures that would look really good if that was added to them.
I think the GitHub page for JkGfxMod has instructions for that (mainly if you're compiling the texture packs off scratch), but in general you have to make a texture like " jknup.3do.mat.00dbig2.displacement.png " from JKNUP for the actual texture and inject it to the game (check metadata.json in the jknup folder for how to add the displacement maps in without having to recompile the whole package).
Same "jkGfxMod could not initialize OpenGL" problem :'(
Looks like this problem has been reported not sure what can be done.. Looks like its an issue with certain Graphics cards. You might be able to by pass your Graphics card with something like VooDoo but I am not sure how to get that working with the JKGFXMOD. Here is the forum on the issue: Github.com
ok never mind i figured it out but now i have a new problem, when i go into the level, the screen is just plain black and i can't figure it out

"ERR_CANNOT_LOAD_FILE 極獜瑦獜憖汬". This pop-up keeps appearing every time I boot it up. What file is it talking about?

This installer has a bug in the command section of the default configuration. you must use "JKM.exe" not "JKMR.exe" an as such for all FOV changes. Quick fix to address once you can update to release version of JXGXMOD.
Hey, I noticed a very serious problem here. In the remaster, there is a glitch that occurs when passing a location with a pipe on a Republican cruiser, the game simply freezes and does not respond in any way. this happened when I approached the pool of electrified water (when the mara had to escape from the dungeon). I don't even know what to do with it, because of this error it is impossible to complete the game. help me please
Having the same issue - apparently it has something to do with the FOV in the mod itself, I read somewhere the inject.exe somehow causes this, I don't really know the details. The unmodded version runs fine AFAIK. For me, the only solution to finish the game with the mod running is to skip the offending levels (only 8 and 9) by using cheats or to play the vanilla one. Sorry for not being much help.

Is there a way to bump up the framerate with MotS and JK? These mods are absolutely fantastic, but the jarring framerate when turning makes it a bit much on the eyes.
