This mod is not for Jedi Outcast! Jedi Knight Enhanced is a graphical overhaul for the game Jedi Knight: Dark forces 2 The mod features higher poly models, and higher resolution 16 bit textures. It aims for "Quake 3 era" graphics. (Or if you prefer, similar to JO/JA) All models and sprites work with the original animations, sounds, etc. It is the aim of this mod to be compatable with vanilla Jedi Knight, as well as any other modifications and levels. At the time of the current beta (0.06) The mod has so many resources that the game can't load them all. However, a patch has been developed that allows all the resources to load. Features include: All dynamic models replaced, such as players, enemies, weapons, vehicles, and projectiles. All new higher resolution sprites. Much larger sky textures

Description

This model update is a modification for Jedi Knight Dark Forces II. Replaces the original Jedi Knight models with higher poly versions, and higher resolution textures. Even with the limits imposed in JK, the game can display quake3 quality models without problems. And it just makes the game more appealing to play! Two years in the making, this mod includes all new models for players, weapons, projectiles, vehicles, enemies, and NPC's. Also included are high resolution sprites, skies, and 16 bit sabers.

Hello, nice mod.

Nice models, I have some ugly problems:

playing 16-bit: everything looks fine, but every model animation plays extremely fast !
(running makes my sword appear like 4, its really fast)

using software 8-bit: animations are fine, but all colors/textures are totally mixed up.

I also have blocky black pixels in FMV's...

Who can help ?

The answer is:

Only you needed the texture pack version 0.4 from:

Jkhub.net

And then put the JKR.gob file it in:

<Game Directory>\RESOURCE\

And there is!

I downloaded Jedi Knight from GOG, and I'm wondering if there is a way to apply the enhancement, with that version....Or do I need the original cds in order to run the enhancement....I have the alternate installer too, because i have windows 7 64-bit...Home premium....Thanxs in advance

This issue also comes up if you install a new mod and load a savegame from a time when you didn't have the mod installed.

In other words, old savegames won't work properly if you install new mods.

Yeah, I've investigated a little more, because again the mixed textures come back to me.

So, I've found that seems that putting both files:

JKE.gob
JKR.gob

...into the RESOURCE folder make the problem was solved.

The JKE.gob file (1.0 version) can be downloaded from:
Jkhub.net

The problem with this JKE.gob version is that the package includes an older Unofficial Patch, especifically the 2006-12-04 version.

I recomend that you don't install this patch and chose this other one (2008-01-16 version):
Jkhub.net

And the JKR.gob file (0.4 version) can be downloaded from:
Jkhub.net

I hope that to anyother can help too.

See ya!
