As you can see, I have the bricks but I only need to join them. Now, what is news, Darth Phae said that I can use his skin pack. Jeremy said that I can use his DF2 Kyle. Trauma Sensei said in the readme that everyone can use his work, as long as he is credited.
Dark Kyle uses only Dark Side powers. Kyle himself uses only Light Side powers after the duel against Maw.
And I will try to convert the SMACKER DF2 videos to ROQ which JA uses, if LucasArts allow me to do so.
People, it's been some 10 years that I turned myself off moddb and Jedi Academy modding. It was surprising to log on this account and notice that you never stopped expecting something new to show up here. Well, I'm sorry for disappointing you (and myself too) - cause back there, there was potential for this to become something. I didn't have the people and life skills to get a team together, neither the experience nor the knowledge as a game programmer to accomplish it. But the worst thing is that all the work me and my small team had done became dust - I lost the files in the course of formatting my PC some times through these years.
It seems it's not the first time that happens with those who tried to make a DF2 'port' to newer games - I remember back in 2012 I used to play a French mod for Jedi Outcast that was a playthrough of the first 4 or 5 levels of DF2, faithful to the original and great-looking in Q3 engine graphics. Man, I lost the files of that mod as well, searched all the wide web for it, but probably it will never be played again, by anyone - since the French DF2 mod was hosted on the now-dead Lucasforums... That's a bit sad. Someone could have taken my work and the Frenchie's work, piece it together, make some more maps and maybe by now we would be closer to a Dark Forces 2 remake... Let's just hope that will still see that happen, someday. (That game would look marvelous in UE4... *sigh*)
