We all remember Ironman's Super Offroad don't we? A brilliant game made in 1992 by Ivan Stewart.
Upgrade your tires, top speed, shocks or acceleration, maybe buy some nitro blasts and go, go, go!
Now imagine the physics of HL2 and crazy multiplayer mania..
All players spawn in their teams lobby. Here they can either join the spectators or sign-up to drive.
In Ironman Offroad Championships it's not ALL about upgrading and racing, if you fail to qualify for the next race you join the spectators.. as a spectator the fun starts: you can assist your fellow teammates by throwing stuff on the track to obstruct the other team.
You can even place mines, and thus destroy the other cars, on the other hand, you can help your teammates by putting flags on mines you've discoverd, maybe drop some nitro's for him to use or helping the poor fella back on 4 wheels! (these are just examples)

its ganna be possible to make a racing game, there making hl rally for hl 1, and it dose not even soport viechles! hl2 will and so they just have to change the skin and code it to be faster that that old hand madee buggy in the E3 movie

Hey, great updates! Now I have a much better idea of how this game will work. I never played the original, but this mod will surely top it anyway. I agree with INtense that it doesn't need to be for HL2, but it's bound to be better that way :) . It seems like it will great, keep up the excellent work!
boy do i remember this game. I had osoo much fun playing it absolutly brilliant. Why are you making it on HL2 though? I guess the car engine will be easier and better to manage, but it hardly has to be too complex

Spectator mode sounds fun. Also teammates are a good idea. Now, I just kick back and wait for updates. Pics and info on maps and modes would be nice :) .
