The Iron Modder competition brings together some of the finest Infinity Engine experts in an intense four-hour battle of wits and will. A theme is announced and modders have just four hours to create and publish a mod based around that theme. In all, dozens of mods have been published through the contests. Iron Modder 8 contestants challenged on the theme "Careless Words Cost Lives." Iron Modder 7 contestants challenged on the theme "Blaze of Glory." Iron Modder 6 contestants challenged on the theme "A Hero For All the Wrong Reasons." Iron Modder 5 contestants challenged on the theme "The Price Of Friendship." Iron Modder 4 contestants challenged on the theme "A Broken Promise." Iron Modder 3 contestants challenged on the theme "A Kiss Before Dying." The sixth installment of the Iron Modder Competitions for Baldur's Gate 2 has been completed, and first-time participant Domi was the winner. Six mods were submitted on the theme "A Hero For All the Wrong Reasons." Contestants had just four hours to create an original mod to exhibit the theme. A download pack with all of the new mods is available now at Pocketplane.net .

The BG2 Iron Modder contests are held regularly, every 2-3 months. A special Iron Modder contest for BG1Tutu development will be held in early 2005.
