First of all thank you for your awesome mod, I really don't know why the IQUAKEIII devs doesn't seem to care about the game's correct aspect ratio and fov.

Now, the only problem i'm experiencing with your mod is that my gamma options doesn't seem to be working, every time I play using your exe file the screen automatically starts to get dark, none of the commands I used to change the gamma or the brightness work.

When I use the normal IOQUAKEIII exe file I don't experience that issue.

Do you know how I could fix that? I'm currently using the "Borderless Gaming" app to play with your exe file on borderless fullscreen to avoid the gamme issues, but I really want to play at fullscreen.

After starting the ioquake3.exe and start a new game all my weapons are centered, who can i put them in the default position?

hi, thanks for this wonderful solution. this is actually the client that i use, above all others.
that being said, i am desperately in need of a vanilla q3 client that allows me to use user submitted huds from quake live, or excessive +. i find the hud limitation in vanilla q3 to be extremely frustrating, and i don't know how to code or compile.
the quake live huds use both a .cfg and a .menu, where the .cfg points to items in the .menu code, which makes calls from the ui/assets folder, which doesn't exist in both vq3 and cpma.
is there any way you could please recompile this wonderful client with support for quake live huds, or at least excessive or cpma hud system?
that's really all that's missing, is support for a user defined hud system.
i'm also concerned if there's a way for the player to select vanilla or cpma movement physics , like if it's possible to add the movement selection to the match variables in both sp & mp.
either way, i'd be more than happy to just have the ability to swap out huds.
i've been using this client for a mod i'm working on, which is based on quake champions and other generations of quake.. it's called quake III evolution.
so i'm looking for a client that will allow me to use custom huds, custom menu location, and both cpma and vanilla physics

Sorry, but as you can read I don't made the changes of the code, but only the effects for weapons and ordered files to be ready to play.

Can I install it on QIII: Team Arena? This add-on makes this game better, but there's no widescreen resolutions, so I need your help...

ok, now my Team Arena works with this mod and I haven't got any stripes, but, I've gained some FOV and HUD problems:

*My HUD now is'nt on it's place - it's half under the screen. I've changed resolution and it looks ok in 800x600, but it is unplayable, because everything is big and pixels are as huge as my finger...

*My FOV is ~60-70, and I can change it by changing Screen Size, but it's uncomfortable to play the game when there's huge black frame.

Can you patch it in the new update? Or its just my problem and I need to fix it? If you know how can I do this, tell me, please.

You need to read instructions! In the archive you will find "mission pack" folder, there are the files for Team Arena! You can set your resolution in menu. And remember: it's only for ioquake3 engine, not default quake3!!

Yeah, I know. But:

1'st. - I said that I've resolved this problem, so I have some new ones.

2'nd. - Tell me how to install this "missionpack" folder - maybe Im doing something wrong (even if I follow the instruction)

3'rd. - do I need to install "ioquake3" Team Arena Add-On, if it's aready installed?

Yes. In order: install ioquake3, put quake3 official data in correct folders (mission pack is for Team Arena), then install the mod, copy all files and rewrite when asked.

1. If Im downloading ioquake into Quake 3 Arena folder, is it alright?

2. What about FOV and HUD problems in Quake III TA?

2.5 I guess that I understood why it happens - I havent any widescreen
resolutions in the game, only 4:3, but, they are stretching out to widescreen,
so, because of it game doesnt work fine.

3. What do you mean? Quake 3 data is the files that are in baseq3 folder, or in whole Quake 3 folder?

That's your error. You need to take pak0-8 files from baseq3 and put it in ioquake3 base folder! Same thing for Team Arena. Then copy files of the mod following instructions.

Uhm... Still that problem. I have standard resolutions in Team arena and it's just stretching out to widescreen, so, I still have FOV and HUD problems + there's no widescreen resolutions in the in-game options.

(P.s. I did everything as you said)
