Update 4 + Important News - Infinite Finality mod for Half-Life 2: Episode Two

Hello, and welcome to the fourth Infinite Finality article. Firstly, before we get into the content, we need to tell you something.

Unfortunately, our previous mod lead, retroshaffer, had to be removed from his position. He was excited but inexperienced when it came to modding. This led to a lot of confusion and setbacks when it came to actually developing the mod, so we made a group decision to remove retro from the team. We'd like to add that he was understanding and left willingly.
However, he did bring a capable modding team together and we intend on finishing what he started. Please do not harass or bully him, as he is dealing with a lot right now and is fairly young. Going forward, if you want to contact our team, please reach out to env_wind or wolfy411.

Now, let’s move on to what this article has to offer.

========================MODELS===========================

Our modeler, Stephen "Nonamebadass" Pearce, has created models inspired by Half-Life: Alyx for various types of Xen flora, such as the classic Xen Spore:

Meanwhile, env_wind is making a bunch of snowy models, such as these mountains and walls:

...and this Personality Core by Tubby Hill. We won't reveal the purpose of this core yet.

=====================PARTICLES============================

We have begun developing new particle effects. Our modeller, env_wind, has created a new aurora particle effect:

======================MAPS==================================

We now have a new mapper on our team: Dmitron! But, while we don't have any images related to maps, we have reworked the first chapter of the mod. However, you can have this cabin image:

========================STORY========================

Our writers, KoolKat, Tubby Hill, wolfy411, and Dmitron have written their own, lengthened version of Epistle Three to serve as a plot outline for Infinite Finality. They just recently finalised a first draft of it, so the basic story for the entire mod has been planned out. KoolKat and wolfy411 have also begun writing a proper script for Infinite Finality, and the first draft of the script for chapter one, which will be featured in the demo, has been completed. We will reserve the finer details of it for when you all get the chance to play the mod!

========================MUSIC==========================

We just recently uploaded three music videos for three of the mod's tracks, made by two of our composers, KoolKat/Alex Dale and Silas Kuner, to our YouTube channel. We plan on uploading a music video every week, as long as the tracks are completed in time. So far, nine tracks have been finalised, and two more are works in progress. We hope you enjoy the tunes!
