This project is the continuation of our work in Warband crusade MOD "In the Name of Jerusalem". We will continue to extend and improve the old settings. The new campaign map will expand to the Upper Danube, the Nile Delta, the Dinaric Alps, and Transcaucasia. The Bulgarian Empire and Grand Principality of Serbia will be added. Kingdom of Georgia, the Saltukids and the Artuqids (probably Eldiguzids) may comes later. The timeline still starts from 1187, but we will try to add more interesting historical events until 1204 - including the Fourth Crusade.

Awesome work! Just a question, did knights during this time wear surcoats over their mail? Or is that an inaccuracy depicted in modern media?

Very rarely. Surcoats and heraldry were still in their infancy during our period. Surcoats didn't become the norm until the 13th century.

Well, surcoats definitely helped the knights from direct sunlight. So in the crusades is when they start to pop up. They were used during the 3rd crusade as well

They wear more kind of robes surcoat at this time like military orders. Surcoat without sleeves maybe start like last quarter of 12th but was rare. The picture we got of medieval knight is the ones of 13th century like other said.
