Good but I don't believe they had "CAUTION" Stripes. Tires should look like tires of a german vehicle.

Looks sweet! Also, well, not a HUGE outdoor area, but a medium one to provide bright outdoor light, players could be attacked fromt he ground level. They had plenty of eletricity, but though, on bunkers, they used to use a low amount of small lamps or other light sources (candles would get cool in the mod).

Assuming they arnt in a trench I'd see no reason why they wouldnt have access to electricity and light bulbs.

They are in a beach-side bunker. Similar to the Normandy battles but more built-in and permanent, i suppose.

Good work, and Im fairly sure that they would have electricity. The Nazis didnt commonly have the lower end of technology at the time :P

Being a coastal defensive emplacement made of concrete, I would assume this structure was to be permanent. Therefore, electric lightbulbs would work rather well on something like this. I suggest wall-mounted versions of trouble lights, those would look most "authentic."

Description

Combine soldiers are placeholders for our incoming Nazi models.

I'm mainly getting some lighting issues resolved right here, I think it now looks pretty good in that little hide-out. The whole level is getting a big aesthetic upgrade since I have spent lots of time getting chunks of the player's path created and "timed" correctly. I am just waiting for the custom models to be done and I can move forward with getting the dramatic lighting inserted and applying a color correction that will remind some of another famous World War 2 shooter out there.

My main problem thus far has been to come up with some realistic era-specific lighting inside the bunkers. I've requested an old fashioned hand-held glass lantern that can hang on the walls, but what else should I be asking for? I mean, did they have lots of electricity? If so, I will need a power plant room. Perhaps they mostly used candles. If so, how did they ventilate that deep underground space? Should I have a huge caved in area to provide some bright outdoor light to the stark indoor setting? If so, can the player be attacked from the ground level?

Lots of decisions yet to be made, but I am happy with the results so far. We can't wait to have fully functioning Dements to playtest with.
