Improved Water Textures

This mod applies alpha blend transparency to water textures to make water more translucent. It also removes aliased jaggies and fake light reflection glare.

You probably know that water doesn't exactly look good in Dawn of War games. Those terrible water jaggies and the fake overexposed reflection glare when you turn your camera around is a plain nightmare to look at. To remove water jaggies I had to give water textures an alpha blending transparency. The fake water reflection glare was removed because it looked awful, took most of the detail from water and reflected light during nighttime when there was no sunlight.

What are water jaggies?

They are jagged and aliased water edges.

Water jaggies occur because of terrain heights, Dawn of War engine doesn't have any water smoothing. To simply put, water is just a one large flat plate underneath terrain.

Notes:

• This mod can be used in all Dawn of War games.

• Screenshots hardly do any justice, try it out in-game. It looks much better.
