Imperial Reign is a Star Wars total conversion to the critically acclaimed Company of Heroes and its expansions Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor. Set in the Star Wars universe, Imperial Reign is about the Imperial occupancy of the Outer Rim worlds (i.e. Tatooine, Lok, Rori, etc) and the constant war as the Rebels fight to liberate the galaxy of tyranny. This conversion aims to bring a type of grittiness and intensity never before seen in a Star Wars game or mod. Company of Heroes engine is suited perfectly for this and serious Star Wars and RTS fans alike will undoubtedly have a blast.

Dearest Imperial Reign fans,
It is with the deepest regret that I must announce to you that, as of today, development of Imperial Reign will be officially halted until further notice. This is for several reasons, with the two main reasons being the failure of my hard drive (those of you who follow ZombieMod are aware of this issue) and the lack of a dedicated team that can help me develop this mod.
It is especially disheartening due to the progress we had made on the mod and the easily apparent excitement of you, our fans. However, without the skills and focus of a dedicated mod team, we cannot continue our work. If we can assemble a team that is willing to resume development, we will happily resume, but until then, development will be halted.

Making a mod and posting updates are completly different things!
I have had my share of modding, maybe not my own but I helped and I learnt to update regularly, no matter how or what the update may be.
People quickly lose interest in a mod that doesn't update regularly
I don't think you understand, there is one person making this. This one person is also making other big mods you may already know of e.g Zombiemod for CoH. He doesn't have the time to make the mods, updates and get on with his own life. Also his hard drive has recently broken so many aspects of this mod plus others he has been working on have been lost.
You telling me that he has only accomplished as much as what there are updates now???
That is literally what you telling me because an update can be made without much time and that would mean his broken hard drive left him with only this!
Forget it... I would watch this mod non the less, yet arguing with you is a waste of time. (though not time consuming XD)
You want a status report? Here it is: at this rate, the mod will most likely never be finished. Everyone wants progress, no one wants to help. Burton is, at the moment, the only one working on the mod and he can't do everything on his own, IR needs more people to work on it. So far, only about 4 people responded to the job ads, sent their applications to join and were never heard from again. You want updates? Find someone who is willing to help and you'll have updates.
This mod is a very good idea dont give up plz.
Why do not a business, help others with their mods and let them help you.
No kidding, i hate it when mods, no matter how busy they are, cant take 5 minutes to give a quick update on how the progress is once a week, or at the least once a month. 4 months, unbelievable. And the mod was pretty big to start off with, and looks like they have alot done, i doubt they just stopped.
I'm sorry, but this comment is dreadful. How dare you say the modders are lazy. They have lives and have to do exams etc. This is a hobby for them. They wish to do this because they enjoy it and like making people get more from there games. People like you ruin this enjoyment for them. Please no more hate.
So you would be fine with us writing a report every week saying "Sorry guys, nothing major has been done this week! See you again next time!"
