Israeli Defense Force: Fight for Independence is a Total Conversion modification for the PC game Battlefield 2 (A.K.A. BF2). What we aim to achieve with this mod is to immerse the player into the historic wars involving Israel, Syria, Egypt, and Jordan, which are the 6-Day War, the War of Attrition, and the Yom Kippur War. The player will be able to play as a common soldier, crewmember, or pilot in these wars. The mod will feature historically accurate equipment such as the famous Russian AK-47, the fearsome SO-4050 bomber, the menacing IS3 and M48 tanks, and much, much more. Also, the maps will recreate actual battles that happened in these wars, to complete a historically-accurate and immersive modification. IDF:FFI is also a member of the acclaimed cooperative gaming studio Black Sand Studios.

Great that i don't have any trouble with downloading, like someone else. Finally they release beta, i will start this mod in debug mode and fix troubles if necessary :-)

go to communty custom games in the game main menu or make a custom shortcut ("game location\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/mod folder name +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

I've put IDF folder in \BFINSTALLATIONFOLDER|MODS, and what then? how to launch it?
there should be a shortcut on your desktop. if not, try reinstalling. and ifit says, that is it searching for BF2.exe, then the mod will not work. it happened to me with Alpha Project

listen mod developers, i know this is gonna **** someone off, but please, make a installer for this. if someone has changed the directory, then they shouldn't sit for half an hour trying to get it to work! i spent 30 minutes, trying to get it to work, and it doesn't ******* work. (the directory for me is changed, so i have to "manually" change the shortcut directory(my directory is not EA GAMES))
1)Go to your BF2 folder, and make a shortcut of BF2.EXE on desktop.
2)Right click and choose properties
3)In the target box, hit space after the last " in the line and paste this line +menu 1 +fullscreen 1+modPath mods/IDF
4)Done.
how do I insert levels where I can fly an air craft? preferably a jet.

At V0.1 you can find aircrafts at the Testmap (without AI support),
But my best advice, wait a few weeks,
I gone upload a new version of the mod (V0.15),
Many bugs & code fixes, plus wider range of aircraft,
And ofcurse singleplayer maps where you can fly the aircrafts.
I am dying to fly the mirage or any jet honestly! Thanks, man. The game it self is well developed. I look forward to flying!
