Welcome to our first Development Blog for Ice & Fire!

This first blog will contain the FAQ and most asked question, so you guys always have place to look for an answer for your most burning questions! If you have a more specific question, feel free to ask us either in the comments on this post or the mod itself, as well as on our Discord! The next couple of blogs will cover cultures and subcultures, Troop Trees and who is part of our Team. Now let’s get started!

When will the mod be available?

We can’t say at the current time. There are already quite a lot of assets made, and the xml work is coming along nicely. The current focus and main thing we are working on is the map itself. We will keep you all up – to – date as we go!

What makes us special?

Ice & Fire is based on the books only, and historically inspired armour from the 15th century. Basically the way George Martin intended it to be. You'll also find characters (including their appearances) and Houses that only appear in the books in our mod!

Will the mod be available on the Steam workshop?

We are currently of the opinion that it is unlikely. The limitation that Bannerlord gives us with the Workshop and the sheer size of the mod make it not worthwhile.

Can I become an alpha/beta tester?

Yes! Testing periods will be announced on our Discord before they happen. In that announcement will also be a way to apply as tester!

Can I join the team?

Yes! Currently we are looking for experienced people in a myriad of areas. Coders, Sceners, and 3D Artists are our current priority. If you are interested join our Discord!

How can I support the mod?

Share it! Mention us to your friends and family! Once the mod is playable download and play the mod! If you still want to help us out more, we created a Patreon. We offer some supporter benefits. Your pledge will be used to commission artists to create assets for the mod!

That's it for this one! Thank you for reading and we'll see you in the next blog!

Will you be taking inspiration from Realm of Thrones for gameplay and will you also fix what is lacking like the Iron Bank Faceless men Red Priests the Night's Watch
How many scenes will be book accurate and on that note will we get to see some of the wildlife mentioned in the books such as wyverns purple eyed lemurs krakens unicorns and the horrors of Old Valyria and on that note can we ride dragons

if the mod is based on the books, make the Dothraki normal nomads with normal armor and a sword. And not like all the crap that the series showed us. If you look at history, the nomads were very advanced and easily adopted the technologies of the conquered peoples.
And by the way, would you like to add the functions of the Bannerkings mod, its mechanics are perfectly suited to the George Martin universe.
good luck with the project

The Dothraki will be as described in the books, no need to worry about that. As for Bannerkings, we actually already have an agreement with the creator and plan to implement it into our mod once it's ready
