Monstrous spetznas unit given life to by the shadow kremlin. Offshoot of the KGB with at least a dozen hangers full of stashed away saucers. Russia's hidden force for technological supremacy should not be underestimated.
Chimera ( Land Air and Sea )
This beast of a unit carefully vetted a battalion of former DEVGRU operators. Accepted into the secret society they protect the very truth from being heard. Some sheep are fleeced and some are slaughtered as even witnesses are not allowed. The developing new world order is nearing a singularity which might result in a Illuminati society and scientific global dictatorship. As the dark soldiers become illuminated they rebel against their masters and one third of the battalion defects.

Known as the black knights or mainly The Merciful Angels. One hundred and eleven super soldiers that were cloned in a genetic laboratory. China is gearing for the fight in light of a cold war sequel. They are entirely bald and inherently possess enhanced psionic abilities. Remember to smoke copious amounts of marijuana to regenerate your psi-energy aka mana.

These are the elite mujahideens. Arabs and Albanians with unstoppable determination to grow their Caliphate and take over the world. They believe God doesn't want the Aliens to interfere with our humanly business. They seek to destroy all traces of alien technology.

- Character Randomization
In Free For All, everytime you spawn, a random model will be picked for your character. Skin and body groups are randomly chosen.
While in Team-Based-Modes the randomization is more narrowly set for each Faction.

Firing heavy caliber or grenade based weapons will now noticeably decrease weight per shot.

Upper-Receiver/Bolt-Carrier/Slide racking, audible cues that give your position away.
With rifles it's possible to do a quick reload by skipping racking, if you change mags before expiring the last bullet.
Equipment Changes:
Heals 150hp with faster healrate. Regular medkit heals 50.

- Casings are scaled by distance to the camera, to make them more noticeable further away. At all the close ranges the casings will be sized true for realism, while the camera zoomed out will have the casings scale up.

Two years since 0.1 release. Seems like you put a lot of work since then. Do you guys want to work on this more and do 1.0 after 0.1? Can we expect new version any soon or it stays with TBA status?
Were kinda nuts like that ahaha.. were still working hard, were spending a lot of time working on stuff that will speed up development.
Expect lots of attention to detail ( game looks at least twice as good now ), insane particle fx and overall fine tuned and improved game play

so... we have something turning alien swarm into more of a counter-strike-style game. Every game's most popular mod is basically counter-strike. The hell people, don't you like good, genuinely new game ideas? Not that many mods come out with those really...
The gameplay is intended to be different. I don't hear a lot of people saying DOD or TF is counter strike but there's a lot of similarities. The unique theme for the game will be increasingly more obvious with the progress of the mod. Hypovolemia provides the player with many abilities. For example: You heal yourself a lot in this game, instead in Team Fortress 2 you have to be a separate medic class ( which can barely heal itself. ) You rush people when they heal, not just when they reload like cs. You have to manually use the weapon's rotating bolt/bolt carrier/upper reciever/slide on pistols/break action. You're almost always aware of the enemy position if they're around you and bullets can penetrate about time four thicker walls than cs. Weight system that has no limitations to how many rifles you can carry as long you're not going over the 20kg weight limit. You can carry ten hand grenades and be a trollzy grenade lobber or multiple rifles and drop your teamates later. There's also 40kg+ weapons like the M2 but piloted robots can carry them. There's unique weapons, including prototype, alien, and bio category. Incapacitation system with bleed out, allowing for teamates to revive you with medkits ( everyone spawns with one. ) If you're dismembered, they wont be able to revive you but we might implement "bio printers" later where it can rebuilt you if they bring your gibs to it. Its more like a futuristic SCI-FI game with solid firearm mechanics.

Hosting a DM/TDM game is NEARLY impossible. Everytime a person gets killed or I kill a person, my game crashes, but the client's doesn't. Please help? I am using V0.1

Did you guys fix the keyboard layout getting deleted in alien swarm whenever you started up Hyp?
By the way I'd love to help you guys out testing, I played quite actively for a few weeks when v0.1 came out.
Yes we fixed it, actually alien swarm was updated to fix this.
