Here's a little taste of the current build of HSR V8 in action from handling to speed and engine upgrades, this is to show off how the engine tunings work, and how the handling is affected by both speed and the surrounding environment such as driving offroad with a non offroad vehicle, which will slow it down due to the wrong tires being used. Enjoy! :-) Crits and comments welcome!
Looks great. My only problem lies within source. The camera feels to static to feel interesting. Nonetheless, awesome progress.
Thanks for the comment. But can you clarify a little more about the camera issue. The camera in source can be pretty flexable. Tell me exactly what it is that needs to be adjusted. atm there are options for dif camera views, inside car, outside, 90 degree left and right. Please let me know what you think the camera should have or changed to. Thanks, this isn't the first time i got this comment, so i figure i ask.
u know how traditional 3rd person car cameras sway as u turn? so u can see the track better? It doesn't just always point at where the front of the car is pointing. Its good for 1st person views, but its really bad for 3rd person views.
ah okay i think i understand, but just so i can get it right, do you have a video or some kind of an example i can take a look at to use as a ref? Apparently i usually play games like midnight club 3 and f1 racing games so usually the camera is pretty locked from what i've noticed, but i may be wrong, anyway if you have a nice ref video i can look at that would help greatly :-) Thanks for the feedback! (Maybe youtube vid?)
try looking on youtube for racing games, like need for speed.
Handeling looks a bit nasty, all large and clumsy.
For me it seems like the handling have been alot better.Great progress are being done here and the mod team are a bunch of fine guys asking for advices for adjustments :) Good luck with this.Looks better everytime i check this

this mod would be perfect if you just had used the original "buggy car" code ;( with handling suspension and other features that nobody knows about. Oh please use the original code this looks so static and not realistic. But everything else - car models textures buymenu oh perfect
buggy car isn't made for network play
It' possible in gmod, tough.
hopefully when you let go of the gas pedal, there wont be an instant engine stopping heh.e
You can use it in fx. Gmod ... why shouldn't it be for multiplayer?
Ok lets put it this way: THIS IS AWESOME! I really like it and i really like the progress, idea and the fact that it is for hl2!
I'll agree that the view seems a bit "tied up/locked" and then please do some sounds for when the car hits the walls...

Love the idea but you will have to compete with free games such as Project Torque. Good luck and great start, I look forward to trying it out.
