Replay the Black Mesa in a whole new way. Play as Dr. Eli Vance, with a giant arsenal of weapons, versus huge varieties of enemies, with fantastic graphics.

Okay, guys. I know that you probably hate my guts after leaving you in the cold for so long. I'm really sorry. Although I've been in school and that's been taking up a lot of time, I've managed to work a bit. I've started on the bots for multiplayer, worked on the code for the gamemode "fraud", and fixed up a map. I've also almost completed the HECU body, but the file got corrupted from a crash, so now I'm back here.
Anyways, this is the PCV (the Powered Combat Vest, for the HECU), and a belt. I'll work hard on getting the rest out ASAP.
I'll try to update AS MUCH as possible, even if it's not done. Also, I'll try finish it...which is obvious and not worth mentioning, but I want to start mentioning everything. Also, the news post on who I'm hiring will be created soon. I'm trying to revive the good ol' days.

Modelled: Dexter

Time Taken (Model): Around 2 hours
Poly Count: 658
Programs: 3ds Max
take your time
you release quality models and the mod hasnt died yet and that good enough for me
(great model btw)
Thanks. I'll try increase the quality, and start doing the boring jobs ASAP - Texturing and UV Mapping.
I don't think anyone is going to hate you for waiting, everyone is busy with life :)
Nice model, but I do think that 6k poly is a bit much for a vest.(not sure if you wrote 658 or 6580)
It's actually 6.58. That's quite low, really.
And if nobody really got it, I was joking.
I doubt anybody wouldn't get it. But it's funny, nonetheless. Obviously, it's 658, I just made a mistake. Pretty low. I was gonna add a bit more detail...not to increase the the poly limit, but to increase the quality, obviously.
nice model really just take your time i dont care if we get a little peak with a half model :)
Thanks, guys! As I said, I WILL try to update more often.
Nice PCV
Hey, Claude, thanks for the nice comment.
Object and accessory modeling is obviously better suited to your skills at the moment, this looks great! Just keep practicing faces and organic things.
Thanks! This is very early, though. Expect some changes. I'm almost done with the bag.
Also, my organic-modelling skill is improving. Expect something almost decent next time.
looks cool like the detail on the straps cant wait for the uv/texture
Try to use a backup of all your files
Thanks. I think I can release another image today.
Does the belt have buckles on both sides?
No, just one. I tried as hard as I could to copy the images I found of the USMC (United States Marine Corps), because the HECU are a section of the USMC.
maybe some hecu troops who have had a rougher time in black mesa will have body armor thats chipped and dented, possibly blackened by explosions?
or no head at all (jk)
@Nuke: Maybe.
@Lusicore: Decapitated Zombie Soldiers? HELL yeah...I'm joking, too.
i dont know if you can code it will randomly spawn a "battered" hecu vet, or a normal one.
