Basically, the player is abandoned on an island. The terrain is like the Amazonian jungles, and the civilisations which were on there were of Aztec / Mayan descent.
The game will be in 3rd person, but the build mode will be in top-down view.
From the 3rd person view, the player will explore the island, and interact with his buildings, with the terrain (mining/chopping wood etc), and also to shoot enemies / hunt.
The 'build mode' top down view will be used to place buildings. and also used to plot out farm areas and plant them.
The player cannot just build anywhere however, he has to build at a certain place, it becomes his 'base of operations' which he conducts his search for certain artifacts from.
The game will have two specific modes of play: The story mode, and arcade mode. The story mode will take the player to the island in search for some mysterious '13 Crystal Skulls', so the legend goes. The arcade mode will have various styles of play. One arcade-mode will be "free-build", the player has no story to complete, he merely builds a base, he can also choose certain options, such as native encounters, and the amount of resources, etc. Another arcade-mode will be "native attack"; the player has to defend his base from wave after wave of natives.

I don't remember tracking this, but I just got the update today. Sounds like a cool idea.
It was City Suppressed, but that's been put on hold for now to do this (It uses the same page).
Well if you want some WW2 game then play Call of duty xD
