I had the brilliant idea (ok yeah other people have too) to remake Homeworld 1 with a mix of HW2 and other not-so-HW stuff. Kushan replaces hiigaran and Taiidan replaces vaygr, the code is the same so woohoo the ai will play!

HW1 element is this will have Kushan and Taiidan as well as some ship stats (like max hitpoints) will be what they are in HW1
HW2 element will be the subsystem stuff and how HW2 allows for better modding each race can be the same but different at the same time.
Other would be things that you didn't see in a HW game (weaponry, usable ships, etc...)

not a massive upgrade but there are several new things like kushan drone frigate (yes has 24 drone sphere) icons have outline (figured out how to do that finally lol) and ofc beams changed color.
added a lot of research upgrades for ships and of course more maps to play on.
this will likely be the final thing i do for quite some time btw, as I start college in 4 days.

The mod is very good, but there are some things wich could be better:
1: The Kushan´s resource controller isn´t working(the collectors can´t dock
2: You should make new, better textures for the ships
3: If it´s possible, make the HW1-campaign for HWE
1) huh? yes they can, if the collectors are getting stuck the controller is probably too close to the asteroids
2) I'm no texturer or texture maker so I can't do that
3) Already people doing that but for HW Universe, I have no idea how to do campaign levels.
Somethings wrong with the download link on filefront. it appears that my browser is complaining that its no loner there or a 404 error. all of your other downloads work except this mod's link. please fix it

HW2 mod idea:
It would be interesting to play with taiidani in original HW2 campaign:
*to replace models of hiigarians to taiidans (as it happens in Norsehound's alternative HW-universe, where the taiidani were the exiles - or as we play for Taii Republic);
*to replace models of vaygr to taiidans (as taii imperialists finally joined together and with little help of vaygr stroke back);
*or even to replace both hiigarians and vaygrs models - taii in hiigarians place, hiigarians in vaygr place ))) or kushans )
How do you like the idea?
Well I have done kushan vs taiidan for hw2 campaign.
I guess taiidan vs kushan would work too, with some tweaks so missions aren't uncompleteable (ex: mission 1, 6, and 7)
