v1.2 Modernized is the second incarnation of the v1.2 Community Patch that was first released in 2006. v1.2 Modernized is not a total overhaul of the base game. It is a basic mod that aims to preserve the experience and unit balancing of vanilla Homeworld2 while adding as little changes as possible, mainly focusing on implementing new graphical effects, HODs, sound effects and scripts used in the Tactical Fleet Simulator (TFS) total overhaul modification. This mod incorporates several new features, including some new game modes from the Homeworld2 modding community, new maps, and a single new Bomber unit for both races - which can be disabled in the game setup if one desires to play with the traditional ship roster.

how can I install the mac version?
so what the different 1.1 with 1.2?
Hi, been a while for me since being here on this site, so here goes. I've installed homeworld2, got the latest patch from here(kindly) and updated my graphics card software to the latest version. I then downloaded and installed hw2 fleet commander, fired it up, screen went black as if loading then came back to my desktop. Nothing... Now if anyboody could help in any way....
try using 1.1 patch dude the patch here only modifies the normal game, not the other mods
Ok. Minor complaint here. After installing the patch, everything from units to missiles has started moving faster, which I dislike. Is this normal? Either way, is there any way to slow the ships down to normal? Also, there doesn't seem to be any difference between regular and the 'accelerated' game modes.
Any possible link to the mac .big files? This one (up above) is dead
