Awesome, now THAT is what I call a Battlecruiser. Looks good, though I do have a question: will it have more than just the two topside heavy turrets for weapons?
I can't wait to see it with the un-used anti-fighter weapon mounts occupied by the appropriate weaponry.
One of the most important principles of solid science fiction design, in my opinion, is to "seed" the appearance with elements that are recognizable to what we've seen in the real world. In that sense, this cruiser's appearance was derived from very obvious real life sources, but it WORKS!
I don't know what you're planning yet for what the anti-aircraft fire looks like, but since you're already being so obvious in harkening to real life structures, I'd like to strongly advise you to go with a flak system that looks and functions a lot like what we saw in the second Battlestar Galactica series. Their "flak shield" was amazing to behold, and it made me hold my breath each and every time those flak cannons opened up.
The "Battlestar Galactica Fleet Commander" mod for HW 2 did an AMAZING job of accurately capturing the show's special effects. If that's a direction that you're also inclined to go in, well, if they can do it, it certainly looks like you could do it too.
Yeah, the more I imagine those flak effects with this ship's visuals, the better and better it looks. In fact, if your flak rounds were like cluster-bombs, that would differentiate it from Battlestar Galactica's aesthetics, make the flak system look far more advanced, and yet still keep people holding their breaths. Each flak round could consist of 5 sub-munitions, so that the initial flak explosion would be quite small as it disperses the sub-munitions, and then a fraction of a second later, the sub-munitions would explode, revealing the full and terror-inducing explosions!

Its got to others on the bottom and as you can see there are un-used anti-fighter weapon mounts.
SWEET design!
