Homeworld : Blue Planet aims at transposing the Blue Planet fan-universe as depicted in the Age of Aquarius and War in Heaven mods for FreeSpace 2, into a Real Time Strategy setting, using the Homeworld 2 engine. This mod is a Total Conversion using assets made by the Freespace Upgrade Project, the Blue Planet Team and the HW@ Team, with the authorization and support of their respective authors.

I thought that your higher-tech looking ships were going to win, but looks like you get owned :P

Awesome graphics man!

probably due to the thiness of his line, those heavy ship's don't look like they have fast ROF versus the o posit fleet's which do. Still great mod keep it up.

The engagement you see in that vid was directly converted from a standalone BP mission, which point was to show what would happen if all the forces in Sol were to engage directly, and hence why it doesn't actually happen in the story.

Eventually, nearly all forces on both sides are supposed to get wiped out, most of the times resulting in the UEF (ie the guys I was controlling) having the few couple of ships left. As you can see, it is not the case here, which shows that I am not anywhere near done with balancing yet.

Impresive work. You spent a lot attention to small details ... Every rocket got it's steam spray and so on :-D . . .

But one question - is the thruster effect always active or did you find a way to start it only if the ships are doing actions ?

Kepp up good work - i love Freespace and i'm totally looking forward to play this!

Always active. There is only so much I can do with the way HW2 handles effects and thrusters. Needless to say, HW2 might be beautiful, all of this is significantly better-looking under the FSO engine - and more laggy, too.

Awesome!
Though I would suggest that, if you can do this, you replace the explosion sounds of homeworld with freespace ones. It would only be more epic then.
(By the way, BloodFleet suceeded with replacing the sounds.)

Otherwise: Can't wait to play!!

Actually, could you please have a version where the sides... well, aren't balanced?
I mean, I don't know about you, but I still feel a sort of kinship with the GTVA, and would like to have a more fun play through. After all, <SPOILER ALLERT!!!> the 14th Battle Group was supposed to be able to overwhelm all UEF forces in Sol. Or if you don't feel like making another version, could you give us the know-how to make the corrections ourselves?

Conversion of BP2 massive battle. The Tev victory is mainly due to yet unbalanced beams.
