Hey people. Time for another update from me. I'm still working hard on the mod but due to my new job everything is going a bit slower now. Still I'm proud to announce that I finished another map today and the only remaining task for it is some fine tuning but that's just a matter of hours. That make 8 finished maps from the layout so far.

Guess the entire mod status is now on 40%. 8 maps are finished and I will build 8 or 10 more maps. I also want to show you people some new pictures of different places I'm currently working on. Some are allready finished and some still WIP. I wish you like always fun don't forget to give your feedback to the screenshots. I allways like your feedback people so don't be shy. :)

Please, use another textures than the Half-Life's one. They are ugly and too old.

the point of using the old textures is to keep that half life feel, its like time traveling back to the 90's

Actually, it's for originality's sake. Having new replacements would even promote the mod better with enhanced visuals, in my opinion. It's good to have a entirely new look on things, since people would be interested in that kind of stuff sadly. Games nowadays aren't all about gameplay, looks go a long way.

games aren't about gameplay? Isn't the word "game" inside the word "gameplay"?

Come on dude, visuals ALWAYS take a back seat to gameplay. The only way graphics could be more important in a game than the actual gameplay is if the game is a non-violent, sandbox-style, no-mission, explore-the-world-in-a-peaceful-setting game where the developers are showcasing a new engine or something.

This mod should stick to making fun, interesting gameplay, and only try to make custom models/textures if the devlopers have a firm understanding of what kind of gameplay enhancements it will bring.

Don't get me wrong, I'm more leaning towards better gameplay than visuals. I'm just saying that most people will just take a glance and walk away if it doesn't look good. It's a sad reality, though I guess that's what next gen is :/

That's true... But shouldn't count for just 1 hl1 player. Everyone who plays it isn't really focusing on graphics I guess. All those graphic lovers are playing games like crysis and other titles in the present days.

Thanks for your comments guys. As for new textures I will see what I can do. Problem here is that we don't know which wad files are free for all and which aren't we don't want to steal something that maybe belong to someone else.

As for models. Don't worry I will add some extra models into the game.
So far I will add all the new model variants that came with Blue Shift.
Maybe the security girls that came with Azure Sheep should I get permission to use them & some other things like a Blackops Zombie etc.

Really nice 23-Down!I especialy like that laboratory corridor, awesome!I see you added nice little details to my map too, really nice :)
