A general introduction to this mod, snd why do I make this mod.

When I played Age of Empire 2 two years ago, an idea popped into my head. “What would happen if I added these units to Red Alert 2 ?”

So I made a mod in the beginning, which was not called "himelab", but "Huns' King", because it could only play a skirmish map.

Of course, at this moment, it looks like aoe2, because it adds almost all the assets of aoe2. You can see all the pictures about aoe2 units in the display district, which are from this mod.

I uploaded this file to "Huns' King.".

After that, I realized that it would be unrealistic to add all aoe2 countries to ra2, because the workload was too heavy, so I would not make the "Huns' King" series any more.


Then, in April 2019, I had a new idea. "What would happen if we made ra2 assets with new lights scene ?"

It took me about half a month to make the first version of himelab, "himelab 114514," which used the RA3 model and reproduced the first Allied campaign of RA3. During this period, I combined my own 3DMAX script, so it took about 10 days from the idea generation to the completion of the mod, and then debugging and video recording.

This is "himelab 114514" as you can see from files.


In 2020, I started to try to reproduced the last compaign of RA3 in ra2, "the destruction of the big apple." I'm still working on this project, which will be released in 2021.
