In "The Hidden", players choose the role of either a near invisible killer, Subject 617, or one member of an Intercept squad who have to capture him, I.R.I.S. In the simple but challenging gameplay of an 'one against all'? mode, Subject 617 creeps/sneaks through the maps armed only with a knife and three pipe bombs. The IRIS team carry a selection of weaponry, fully customisable at round start, from F2000 assault rifles through to shotguns or sub machine guns as well as a pistol as a secondary weapon. However, they can hardly see Subject 617 as, just like the 'Predator', only the outline of his silhouette is visible. On top of that the Hidden also moves a little faster and has many abilites such as pouncing, wall grabbing, corpse pinning and the fatal pigsticker attack. Therefore co-operation is necessary for I.R.I.S. if they wish to prevail (if they dont want to become the prey/victim themselves). Here it is - the Beta 2 release in all its glory, both dedicated server and client code. Still waiting for some mirrors to confirm so I'll add them when they do but we should be able to survive on what we have until then. Battle it out against a team of eight IRIS members as Subject 617, the partially invisible killer or hunt down 617 as part of a crack team on the IRIS team. All new models, textures and maps, as well as a second game mode.

NOTE: An update has been released for Beta2 shifting it to Beta2a as we had a few problems making servers fall over. The update can be grabbed from HERE or HERE .

Never even seen the hidden? Is that why you need a change log?

FFS PLAYER GIBS , ROPING CORPSES, NEW MODELS SKINS MAPS is good enough for me!

I love the new graphics, though I'm not too fond of the gibbing bodies when you get a pig-stick kill. It is kind of cool, but at the same time, I loved seeing the bodies just slam into walls when you successfully nailed 'em.

Still, great release. The flashlights add all sorts of new fun to hunting the Hidden down. ;)

Lovin' the gore ya'll. I'd advise though to delete some of your hidden polys to make better possible framerates, if it hasn't been done yet.
