I've decided to make this hero mod beacuse there are some heroes that I think would be really fun to have. If any of you have played Vapula's Hero Mod for BFME 1, it will be in the same category. I just add the heroes I want, not so that it fits the time and place the game happens.
I've planned to add
Men of the West:
Halbarad; A dunedain, and a close friend of Aragorn. He'll be a leadership kind of unit.
Elves:
Celeborn; Make him useable in the Skirmish/War of the Ring modes. Change his powers
Dwarves:
Grimbeorn; He'll be able to transform into a bear.
Bard II; Prince of Dale. The heir of the man who killed Smaug the Golden. He'll have bonuses on killing dragons, and use the bow
Mordor:
Gothmog; The orc liutentant. Commanded the forces in the battle on Minas Tirith
Mahud; A man on a Mumakil. Leadership bonuses to mumakils
Ringrwraiths; make them mountable on both nazgul and horse on the same hero
Isengard:
Ugluk; The Isengard liutentant which lead Merry and Pippin towards Isengard. It will be Vapula's Ugluk from BFME I with a summon

I'm back from the dead (or huge amount of schoolwork and FM07, if you're picky ), and suddenly felt the modding-urge take hold of me. The problem is that I've forgotten almost everything, so the beginner tutorials on the site is very helpful . And, of course, I wanted to make the biggest and greatest mod of all time (like all noobs).
When I got to my "senses", I figured out I'd try to finish my Hero Mod (if anyone remembers a year back in time), if there's any interest in it.
I've made it start on patch #6 and fixed some error in the codes, but that's about it from the old release. But if no-one cares, I'm not gonna finish it.
So, I wondered, is there any interest in this mod, or should I just stop it and (maybe) join someone else?

The problem is that the mod is for an old patch. Sorry... Either use an old patch (the mod uses nr. 4, I think), or recode the md yourself... :P
Because I'm tired of modding, and just want to get the mod done, in as little time as possible ;)
why not add Radagast the Brown?
yah same here im a fan of all dwarves and them being able to transform is completely awesome :)

And I won't add Smau, I think it would be to unbalanced. But you can add him yourself. To learn how to mod go to my site kou.the3rdage.net. Remove the kou bit infront and go to the forums You there have every possibility to add Smaug to your own mod, or mine ;) Just remmber to ask if you're gonna release your mod
This mod sounds gr8. I've always wanted to play as these characters and i can't wait for it to be finished. That said, it would be brill if u could make a Smaug. I dunno how 2 mod so it's probs pretty hard so i'm not bothered if u can't
