A fter my previous article I introduced myself and the works I had commenced on the SotP OST.
I also mentioned of 2 other beta tracks that I had previously worked on, which i promised to show you in this coming release.
Ok here we are go again!
The following tracks you will hear below, as I post them, were made under the same timeline I created Suite 1 and New Beginnings, which were 2 months back.
I just read up on the upload date on New Beginnings actually and saw i uploaded it 5 months ago!
So as you would imagine I have new ideas and plans for the music by now :)
What is shown on this page doesn't represent my current approach and thinking behind the SotP OST; rather more accurately showing what I was thinking 2 months back.
3. Sins of the Prophets Suite 2
Immediately after the creation of Suite 1 and its auditioning to Canadaman, I went back and changed a few things to Suite 1 to his liking. The approach behind this, was this time less of the battle and more emphasis on the Theme, however if you still prefer the original Suite 1, I don't blame you, I do to; looking back on it now.
Alot of the previous elements such as that new String Synth and the Deep Percussion was kept and mainly I reprogrammed the Spiccatos to give it a different refreshing touch. This in effect was still a work in progress at the time, so the production quality wasn't the highlight of this piece.
At 0:49 where i commented you can see the new programmed part in effect.
At 1:28 I wrote a new Battle Section but mirroring closely the Main Theme.
Initially looking back on this now, It wasn't so much a Suite Track as it used to be before.
To easily explain what my intentions where behind this; I thought in my head;
"How do you use the same exact part - which is the main theme and express it in many different ways?"
So this piece was an expression of that question and very centered on the theme part that i was furthering my assessment on, and how it would sound like. Yet I had not taken from Halo as much as I would have... and so that would give me something to think about.
4. Sins of the Prophets: Main Theme 02
Main Theme 02, was my attempt to rid myself of the stagnant ideas Suite 1 and Suite 2 had imprinted onto me and rather my way of "procrastination" musically, to search for new ideas I could implement into the Main Theme.
Question:
What do you do when you run out of new ideas for the work you are currently working on?
Answer:
Take a break, If i've already taken a break I do what I've posted above,
and Procrastinate Musically;
Create a totally separate track to the work im doing and through that process of creation it will initiate a new method of thinking where new ideas will come fourth.
What I got from creating that track, although not much, was the emotional undertone the Halo Music carried with it. And that was another something I needed to further develop on.
And so after taking gradual steps in my experiments towards the Main Theme as well as the rest of the SotP OST: And After my 2 month gap from composing on SotP.
I had bided enough time to wait for my ideas and ability to mature and bring about a new spring of thought into the SotP OST.

Thank you for reading and listening!

I love music in games, and you make outstanding stuff. I really like in the first track (suite 2) that I hear what sounds like Mass Effect, Halo, and originality all somehow combined in one.
Truly amazing work, I look forward to hearing this stuff in-game.
Is there any way to get Bleed on MP3 or something like that?
Seriously dude, If you keep this up.... you got my vote for MOTY
all of this sounds like it should be in a bioware game or a space game in general
3. Sins of the Prophets Suite 2
Is very Terminator ;)
Still man these are fantastic, truly this mod kicks the FIVE SIX out of more or less any sins mod i played, and I have not even played it yet XD
Great Music, I believe music can really effect a games gameplay, like when you are jumping out of the pelicans on silent cortographer (halo 1) you have that epic music booming in your ears, and it makes you fight, or on mass effect 2 when your running away from the collectors, the soundtrack sets the scene, the player has to act to it, I really appreciate the hard work your putting in to the OST, Cant say i dont like any of your songs :)
Good job, keep it up :)
Ok, Im just DYING to ask: What was the software used to make this?! Cause I have so many music ideas that I just can't get out of my head!! I have a piano synthesizer, but it DOES NOT HELP. Since Im in a school band, IM OBSSESSED!!!! So, if you can, MESSAGE ME. o.o
Just wow. You guys are going beyond all my expectations of what a mod should entail. Amazing work, please keep it up.
I must Say i love the music, although in the second track it gets a little boring 3/4 of the way in. Keep up the good work!
How long do you spend on the menu? It doesn't matter.
this will work with the original soase right?
This mod is for Entrenchment. If you haven't got it i'd recommend getting entrenchment its amazing.
