Gonna call it Battlestar.

Oh, yes. It's going to take part in several very suicidal missions. I hope there will be an enemy to see it.
And about ship's insides...I see it with powerful boarding parties, capable of taking enemy buildings/extractors/ships and planetary assault armies and... probably when time comes, the powerful NOVA bomb?

Though, this class is a complete upgrade over aging Phoenix. Though, bridge window seems to be like theon first Punic version. Probably a segmented version like on a new Punic will be better.

NOVA bombs will never be a thing in SotP.

Hm, I wonder if I heard similar things from you before. *looking at Orion-class*

Alright. As you say, bossy.

"I wonder if I heard similar things from you before."

It's completely fair to call us out on this sort of thing. We've said many times that X will not happen only for us to later decide that X will happen, but I can assure you that the NOVA bomb is very unlikely to be one of those things. It doesn't have a place in a strategy game. There's no way to reasonably balance it that would leave the opponent and user both satisfied.

Americans don't appreciate his blunt speech combined with his propensity to fight for 20 comments over minor things.

If I had a collection of Unikraken quotes, then I would have said something like: I'm going to save this one for collection.

P.S.Americans don't always right. Not even in half of times. Though, this manner of speaking over9000 empty, but quite nice words before or (more often) instead of something important is adorable. This point of view is quite droll too.
And this hubris... No idea that somebody may be from other country, other culture, so they probably have difficulties with building long-long kissassing sentaces just to make you feel comfortable?

I have said dozen of times before and I will say it again: I appreciate your work. But some of your responces make me think that you either blind or you need something "more american" to feel appreciated.

Battlemage, I assure you I appreciate your blunt nature. I need no *** kissing. I want honest opinions about the mod, regardless of whether they're negative or positive. I'm merely explaining why others might downvote you. I do not.

I don't care to see my comment sections full of fighting that involves you, but that's life. We appreciate that you're eager to provide feedback. I wouldn't want you to go away.

I also think you are a good influence, Battlemage. People just can't take seeing a mod get raw, unfiltered, criticism, even if it needs it. People are WAY too reactionary.

I hope you realize calling something a Battlestar outside of Battlestar Galactica sounds odd, and especially out of place in a mod like SotP.

Probably you don't realize that people at SotP (I will use this construct from this time forward) think that the UNSC is a multi-cultural entity, not just a warlike war-failing americans.

That way, if people in Halo Universe have a starship called "Euclid's Anvil" or "Spirit of Fire", technically there may be a "Battlestar" or even an "Enterprise".

You do realise that the Enterprise is not a class but a name ?

This ship looks AMAZING! For sure one of the ships that I am going to use as a center piece for some of my fleets. Love it

We at SotP love the Spirit of Fire and we have plans for the model in the future (moreso after it's detailed in Halo: Fleet Battles), but at the end of the day we have to evaluate every piece of lore 343 puts out and ask ourselves if it fits better than what was there before.

I try to evaluate each new ship from the following perspective: If I were deciding to start the mod today, based on the lore as it stands now with the new information, what decisions would I make? What best serves the fanbase going forward? What is going to translate best for Halo fans that will only find the mod a year or two from now?

I realize that will likely upset Bungie purists and so forth, but my view has evolved on this to where I feel a sense of stewardship in the experience. We have an obligation to folks that will find the mod later as well, to craft something that will make sense to them along with current fans.

The Orion's design quickly became of a favorite of mine the more I played with it in Fleet Battles, I must say that I'm glad it will be finally coming to SotP. Is it going to replace the Eion or be a whole new ship?

Description

Moddb.com

The Orion-class Assault Carrier was built for war against rebellious human colonies during the Insurrection. The class was conceived as a new type of carrier that could directly aid the UNSC's sustained ground operations in addition to maintaining aerospace control over contested worlds. Throughout the Insurrection, the appearance of a battle group led by an Orion-class assault carrier was seen as a symbol of the UNSC's military strength.

As the Human-Covenant War began in 2525, Orion-class assault carriers commonly served as flagships, serving in numerous battles throughout the Outer Colonies in desperate defensive actions against the Covenant. The Covenant War saw the destruction of most Orion-class carriers as many of these vessels sacrificed themselves to buy time for civilians and troops to be evacuated to the Inner Colonies. The remaining vessels of the Orion class formed the core of long-range battle groups that attempted to disrupt Covenant supply lines and staging areas, with limited success.
