Why the strange dimensions? 1920x1080
I don't know of any monitor with those dimensions, so anybody who sets this as their background will have streaching or shrinking problems. Seriously, nobody has an aspect ratio of 48:27, so you shouldn't make a "wallpaper" with that aspect ratio.
Dude 1920x1080 is a pretty common size monitor. Maybe not for you kids with a 1024x768 CRT from 2001.
every full hd monitor hase 1920x1080 because thats full hd ^^
Yeah, 1920x1080 is the most common HD that i know of.

I have a 1920x1080 monitor and I absolutely love it.
Ofcourse there are 1920x1200 monitors or even bigger.
Though I think you need more processing/gpu power to support the resolution.
Needless to say looks neat, and the textures are above vanilla sins.
