Well if you are familiar with Halo First Strike, the idea of the huge mobile ship foundry then you might wanna look into the design of the unyielding heirophant. its supposed to look like to tear drops joined together.
hey canada if u want i can do some concept art for u (gratis surely cause i really want to exercise my skills and see what if u think reply if u are interested)
Canada,Will there be voice acting or voice clips? Because i wouldnt want to play covenant and hear vasari voices. Will there be time for voice acting if it will be implemented?
Try simplifying it. Take out a few of the bumps and spikes. Compared to the others it looks a bit hectic. Make the sections flow together more. (that last sentence sounds terrible grammatically but I don't know how else to say it.) :D
I was thinking, possibly a flood-infected assault carrier/CCS battleship? All the spikes and stuff could be flood spores or tentacles or whatnot, it could look pretty cool
The books describe the Covenant ship with a beautiful smooth shape almost whale-like. This doesn't really fit that description. I think if it is a ship then it should look simple and curvy.
I think this looks cool, but I also think that this deviates from the Covenant ship scheme too much. The jagged undersides are incredibly abstract compared to the established "nothing but curves" look. It almost looks like it was made by another alien species altogether.
Dont suppose u could make this ship the Super Cruiser from FOR?, a powerful warship rarely seen that can snipe ships from a great distance using its super particle beam weapon. fits the role of this one unless u already have the super cruiser done. nice design btw
what if it were to fire a massive plasma torpedos and when it entered the gravity well it would explode out into like twenty or so seperate missles that lock on and attack vessels and structers
Remove the little structure on the underside of the ship(the thing that looks like the nose of a CCS battlecruiser), smooth it out a little more, add alot of purple and then it would fit into the Covenant navy just fine
It looks a little too "Organic" to me almost like the ship is a large exoskeleton with bits of ligament on it. In my humble opinion I would smooth it out a bit and make it look less skeletal. Don't get me wrong though, the design is absolutely stunning, and it certainly does look like a ship, but it doesn't mesh with Covenant design trends very well imo.
It would make a damn awesome Eldar Wraith Ship for 40k though
In my opinion, it looks nothing like the Covenant would come up with. It looks like something the Flood would use, but not the Covies. it looks outright ridiculous.
As with the above comments, smooth it, curve it, add purple. The first impression I get from it is either it's a really big gun that just moves around in space or it's a service ad repair ship. Leaning more towards the giant gun. What I personally would do is open up the middle section just a smidge and make the rear section around a cylinder that would be the barrel of said gun, with the forward section of the ship sitting above the beam/bullet/plasma bolt when it's fired. To look right and not make it look fat, it'd have to be a narrow, beam-like projectile so you could keep the cylinder it's coming out of small. Following the sniper ship idea. Maybe a starbase and planet sniper with lighter anti-ship weaponry to keep it powerful as well as vulnerable.
i like it
Thumbs up if you think it fires a continuous stream of Suicide Grunts at your planets.
On second thought, trigger-happy Elites.
It's not as smooth as the other ships. What I would do is lower the front part so that it has a curve or is flat.
Its CONCEPT ART not the final product.
and Canadaman asked for critique. He gave it.
what's it supposed to be?
Well, the forums are split over whether it should be some sort of mobile Covenant Factory or fire some sort of gigantic Pulse laser.
I think I'd lean towards mobile foundry though.
Oh hey I have an idea on what the UNSC superweapon should be.
A NOVA bomb launcher!
Or maybe make a NOVA as the level 6 ultimate ability?

uops i mean free (gratis is in italian sorry eheh)
looks like if that was in the game, playing as the UNSC would be nearly impossible to do.
Also, I would like to know if there will still be diplomacy in this game? That is to say that making alliances would still be in the game.
Yeah, sure. Diplomacy is still in the game.
I usually play locked teams though, for the sake of a semblance of canon.
Makes sense, but would Forerunners really attack their inheritors?
Canada,Will there be voice acting or voice clips? Because i wouldnt want to play covenant and hear vasari voices. Will there be time for voice acting if it will be implemented?
I play Sins with locked teams too, its annoying to have a Hard ally suddenly turn against you

That's what she said :)
Looks nice.
Btw, is this for Diplomacy, entrenchment or regular base?
this is what a microwaved assault carrier looks like
i was thinking the exact same thing.
I was thinking, possibly a flood-infected assault carrier/CCS battleship? All the spikes and stuff could be flood spores or tentacles or whatnot, it could look pretty cool
Could be a weapon for fighting glassing entire worlds after the Flood has been released or has spread.
other than this or a mobile Factory i see no uses for it.
foundry let it build two capital ships at once
or 4 normal ships that would be a real threat.
The books describe the Covenant ship with a beautiful smooth shape almost whale-like. This doesn't really fit that description. I think if it is a ship then it should look simple and curvy.
Hmm, I don't know about it.
oo what about that long-range laser ship from the fall of reach book?? except that its stationary
I like the idea of a long range planet glasser
Looks very shivan to me (from Freespace 2).
Like the guy aboce said, maybe the long range 'sniper' ship from fall of reach?
I think it looks really "Covenant", almost like a giant needler.
Slap some purple on it and it'll fit right in. As far as what the books say, I don't think they are exactly canon...
Also, look at high charity, its got spikes and bits poking off. This looks like a supercarrier and high charity made a superlaser-carrying child.
well high charity also was made out of the remains of a blown up plannet
I think this looks cool, but I also think that this deviates from the Covenant ship scheme too much. The jagged undersides are incredibly abstract compared to the established "nothing but curves" look. It almost looks like it was made by another alien species altogether.
I agree, to me it looks more as if it is a huge Covenant cruiser that has been hit by a plasma weapon and been melted.
So THIS is what that Covie concept art was about.
The concept is good, I would personally like to see it more curved and organic than how it currently is to fit in with canon.

It reminds me of a Covenantified Nebulon-B Frigate...
what if it were to fire a massive plasma torpedos and when it entered the gravity well it would explode out into like twenty or so seperate missles that lock on and attack vessels and structers
this supposed to be a star base?
Smooth it. That's all I can say.

I realy like it... but it seems too much like a flood corrupted ship, other than that realy nice keep it up.

kinda reminds me of something out of genisis rising
it should be a slipspace station with the ability to transport your fleet any where on the the map
