The thrusters still doesn't look very good, but this is Homeworld 2 so I'm good :)

They could be higher poly, but when I used rounder thrusters it used to slow down the game so I opted for low-poly glow meshes...

Why the lower side armor of the Halcyon looks darker?

Lower side armor? You mean where the engines are?

Yes, i mean the armor layer covering the engine side, it does looks darker, i can't understand if it's a shadow, a mesh/light effect or just a different hull paint.
Also hull scratches reminds me a lot of spartan armor mesh from Halo 3 beta lol.

Oh its the same color as the darker hull pieces, the only reason it looks darker is because it isn't in the same lighting as the armor above it, which is catching a lot more light. It's a neat specular thing.

Description

It's been a week without any interesting news, slow day at the office, etc. I'm here to present a few new textures, though mainly the re-textured Halcyon with my new method I developed with the frigate, as posted for comparison.

Basically these updates include better, more accurate specular and gloss maps that allow details to pop better and giving the metal better reflective while the paint scheme remains a matte finish.
