Yeah, Banshee bomb. There are grunts and Elites on the ground too though.

awesome as always, though maybe you oughta smash the windshield a bit (if its not a pain in the *** to do).
There actually is an alpha map on the windshield to give it a broken look....it isn't very visible though. I'm gonna have to find another way to texture that...

actually me and my sister from another mister spent half a day trashing various warthogs in 3 and Reach. You did really well, I cant really suggest anything that doesnt sound ridiculous for a rts model.

Will there be upgrades for the hog to? Like a grenedier on the passenger seat and the machine gun turret would change to a Guass Cannon?, lol, I ask to many upgrade question :3
At the moment, all Hog variants are just separate units. I've thought about making upgrades though...just need to work out a system for that.
You could do a hog company. One low flat rate for a trio consisting of one laag, one gauss, and one rocket. It would be a very nicely matched company though, able to take out almost anything.
Yeah...I don't think that's a good idea for a few reasons...Pelicans only carry one Hog at a time and each variant needs a diff tech level for balance.

I have to disagree on that. Halo wars was about as good as a rts game you can get on a console. Its simplicity for the console is what made it fun to play. That being said, it would have been better as a pc game but for whatever odd reason they chose it as a console.
nah, Halo Wars was kinda baby's first rts, the base simplicity and unit limits were a major misfire on Ensemble's part, and the major lack of resources to compete over ruined a core concept of all RTSs. It also seems like the whole thing was done by a team who had rough knowledge of Halo's universe at best. Neither the Flood nor the Covenant inspired hopelessness in your battles. The campaign was good enough, but when given a series with as big a cult following as Halo, good enough is simply not good enough. They tried, but it just wasnt as good as it could have been.
Yeah, it was as good an rts as you can get for console...but that isn't saying much. It had some innovative features but the complete lack of mod support killed replay value and the story totally ignored Halo cannon and that ****** me off. I understand there are "retcons" that fix that BS but I don't like them. The whole game was crap. A lot of the covenant vehicles were lame too...the upgrade system sucked... You get the idea. It was just a bad game. Cutscene animations weren't even all that great either and Regret was rendered just all wrong. He didn't look like his H2 version and it bugged me.

heey farseer for the system about the upgrades of the warthogs i have an idea
just when you finished the upgrade let the old hog be removed and the new hog replace it
or isnt it that simple :P
i know nothing about coding and modding so ^^
At it's very core that's how it would work. The problem I'm facing is how to make that happen. It would be simple enough to allow warthogs to "build"
an upgrade but the issue is restricting that upgrade just to one specific hog and not being applied to all hogs on the map. I don't know if something so specific is possible with the game's upgrade system.

Moddb has commenting issues...it has nothing to do with you. Their comment nesting script is apparently full of fail (or ****, take your pick). It's really annoying. The only reason it always appears to work for me is because I have the power to delete and re-post if it places my post in the wrong place :) You don't have "delete" power.
