also, vultures would be good as troop/vehicle transport, maybe 2 versions of vultures, one for infantry, one for vehicles, or if not, maybe a "call for transport" ability for all units, if its possible to have... i dont know how, just an idea! :D very good so far, lookin forward to this mod verrrry much!! :D :D :D
Oh yeah, I remember what I was going to do with the Vulture. lol. I was going to include it in space battles but not land. I remember thinking that it seemed to suite space better than land, IMO.

Well actually Halo Wars was executed poorly(which I can agree with), because Ensemble Studios (My favorite rts company ever) was being shut down by Microsoft and they were told to put Halo Wars out before they got thrown out, so that's why it's so... blah. It was also on the Xbox because well, it's simple, Microsoft told them to only make it for that. It was a good idea, just didn't have enough time to turn it into something good.
It would have been such a different game if they only had more time, and released it for PC with modding tools.

That is true but modeling a pilot and the cockpit would increase to poly count WAY too much for this game. So, I figured a reflective windshield would be a good substitute.
It shines!!! lol, know what I always thought would be kinda near even if it probably would not work with the engine would be making it so that after a certain time fighters/things like this would need to go back to a point for refueling/rearming.

and about the vulture i dont know if space is such a good thing its slow moving and a sitting duck for scarabs just think about a plasma torpedo going at that vulture XD
i think he means that if they are slow and easy to shoot by scarabs in a land battle they would easlily be shot down buy weaponry on a covie ship in space (I would say the weaponry on the ship is just as big and powerful if not more than the scarab)
You are not thinking in space terms. A ship that is slow in atmosphere may not be slow in space because gravity and wind resistance aren't factors. All that really matters is engine size, which the Vulture is not lacking.
The gold is simply specular hits from the sunlight, which has a yellowish hue. The glass itself is not that color, however. The exception is Halo Wars, where all windows are yellow/gold...and that is dumb.
I can't wait to see the Falcon! Will it have the main chin gun like the singleplayer one? Oh, and about the hornet, I think someone said there should be people riding on the sides because it looks empty. I agree with that but that may overpower it unless they only have assault rifles.
I think it would be nice to see Pelicans in the game too. As a troop and single vehicle like in the games. Might have two versions of them one gunship and standard. Point being: being able to use three of them to send three Scorpians and a few squads of marines behind enemy lines. Sort of like the rebel transport.

well no, you don't have to love them...and I hate them. I just can't bring myself to like much of anything from Halo Wars, no matter how hard I try.

They actually don't do half bad :) The scorpion isn't very fast and it's turret has a hard time pitching so low when a unit is that close.
until the driver just hits that little pedal on the right...
He'd actually have to push both levers forward ;) ...assuming that it operates similarly to modern tanks.
