I've been getting some questions about the mod that I'd like to address.

Gameplay

I was very lazy on this part, and I found it pretty unrealistic that Gordon could take a shotgun blast to the face and still live, so here's my plan. Gordon is now going to be pretty fragile, taking much more damage then usual.

However, I'm not going to be changing any of the npc damage variables. Thankfully, Valve included hitbox damage percentages for Gordon, so that's what I'll be changing. So, it will work like this: Easy = Original game's hard difficulty Medium = Original game's hard with more body damage (Head damage will stay the same) Hard = Medium + extra head and body damage.

Technically, I'll have to change the damage output of radiation and other hazards to be constantly lethal, and maybe change the amount of time before Gordon begins drowning (Just enough so it doesn't make the game unfair or impossible). Increased movement would also make sense since he no longer has his suit weighing him down.

Now, many of you may be asking how some of this might actually work. Things such as Xen would cause Freeman to die almost immediately, right? Nope.

1st. In Opposing Force, Several scientists are seen in Xen (Well, Race X but they're practically identical). 2nd. Gordon never has a helmet in the first place (Unless you're playing the German censored version of the game.)

And what about the long jump module? Doesn't THAT require the suit? Maybe. But it's not like anyone will notice, right? Anyhow, That's just about it for gameplay.

When will it be released might you ask? Probably in the near future. I luckily have alot of time on my hands, so I can finish this up pretty fast.

Can I use the models for my mod? You will be credited, of course, if they are used.

Why in the world is there no hud or at least some way to check your health, like the screen goes more red around the edges of the screen as you are closer to death. Also no flash light? No one in this entire complex has a Maglite!? Also if you want to argue there is no visual weapon selection because there is no hud, it stands to reason you should be able to look down at one's person and see how many rounds you have left.

Also why can we not at least press the corresponding number key to get a weapon? This mouse scrolling is too slow when there is no hud. Most of us have the correct weapon key binds memorized. Not having it wastes ammo when we do not even know if a newer weapon is selected or not since there is no visual hud and we press the mouse button hoping the newer weapon got selected. And when we start getting half a dozen weapons or so it will really be slow as you scroll a little and press the mouse button. Scroll a little and press it again trying to find what you want, when instantly you could have it with a simple button press or two of the same button depending on what you want.

Also we should be able to use the health stations at least. They are placed all over the complex for a reason and 99% of staff do not have an HEV suit or the equivalent. If one thing could be fixed it would have to be the weapon select though. At least allow for the number key presses. The idea sounds like a nifty one, but it needs a little more work to implement what was lost. Thank you.

Actually, if I remember, a security guard in Sector C is trying ot reach the health station after being hurt by a zombie, but he dies before he can use it.
I think it makes sense that you could use the health charges since they are all over Black Mesa, even in areas where no HEV staff would nowmally operate.

What the **** are you talking about? I said "health" chargers, not "suit" chargers. And I don't think that you need HEV suit for using them.
