This archive will insert the Half-Life Uplink demo levels seemlessly
into the full game using Lambda Reactor Core port 07 and its return.

It also corrects the scientist-speaking-with-two-tongues bug and the
Blue Shift induced inconsistency of Barney Calhoun not wearing armor
at the first door. Some unused objects were added to the introlevels
too, stealth bombers, a construction worker, a rat and other things!

Thanks go to the QuArK team and Zoner for their great editing tools!
Install by extracting the archive into the retail or Steam Half-Life
folder overwriting files and Gordon Freemans experience in the Black
Mesa facility during the critical incident will finally be complete!

hey so im really picky the barney thing is awesome! the only thing is he doesn't knock on the door when I start a new game is this a bug?

I don't really remember. It might have been on purpose because you can't knock on the door in Blue Shift either and this change was all about continuity...

Can somebody help me? When I installed the mod and first used it, upon moving into the port 7 teleporter and while switching to the first Uplink map, the game crashed saying I was missing hldemo.wad. So I simply copied halflife.wad and renamed it to hldemo.wad. The crash is now fixed, but in the Uplink maps there are missing textures on screens. What am I missing? I would REALLY appreciate help, here. Thanks in advance!

What HL version are you using and how large is your halflive.wad file?

I'm using the mod Brutal Half-Life on the original Half-Life 1 from Steam. However the issue can't be that I'm using the BHL mod, because I've already tried using the original HL1 wad as the hldemo.wad as well as one I downloaded from the Extended Uplink mod which was originally called uplink_ext.wad, and using that one fixed one missing cargo container texture but nothing else. My vanilla halflife.wad is 38,602 kb, the BHL one is lower at 37,062 and the Uplink Extended One which actually helped a bit was 508 kb but it's from another mod as mentioned earlier. What I'm most confused about, though, is that the download for your mod didn't even include a hldemo.wad. I'm just super confused about this and I really want to use this mod without having to worry about missing textures.

Edit, my vanilla halflife.wad is actually 37,062 kb and Brutal Half-Life didn't come with one.

That sounds about right. Still as you wrote my mod doesn't include hldemo.wad in the first place and I don't even have it on my system, neither for the WON or Steam versions. I have no idea why your HL would even want to have it...

I forgot to mention that I fixed it by turning r_wadtextures off. Sorry, I know we had this conversation a while ago.
