tbh in my opinion this is a fun idea but you would have to change some things in the campaign if you want the player to be able to beat the game only with the super gravity gun:
-enemy weapons would have to dissapear when they're killed so that the player only has the s-gravity gun
-if you want the helicopter/tank battles to be fair with only the s-gravity gun
you would have to place some objects(ex. some big rocks) near so that the player can use those objects to their advantage.
other than that i think this concept is actually really cool!

We could've avoided having to pack all the maps (the bulk of the filesize). I assume it's to place the physcannon on them?

But it could've been achieved in the code by stripping weapon entities and placing the physcannon in appropriate coordinates. world.cpp/Spawn() would seem most fitting. You can just call a .cfg command from there and then do it per map.

as in

engine->ServerCommand(sCmd.Get());

And in the cfg

ent_fire weapon_* kill, for example.

Or even not that but just edit weapons to make them NPC only.

You don't say "stop" to every other unnecessary mod, like every AI upscale or every funny reskin, do you?

This adds a weapon to HL: Source, this can barely be called a mod all we want is to have this kinda stuff moved to addons. We have tried over and over again to get this **** off the mod page but nothing works. I'm sick of stuff like this in the mod section.

Also to answer your second question yes yes I do.
Look back at my comment history and you'll find me on unfunny reskins complaining. Please take time to take a look into things like this instead of going off an assumption.

Wait, so you were objecting to the category of this upload, and not to how it's automatically infamous because of who made it?

I assumed it's more about the latter, but forgive me this assumption, because it's been made so often by now.

And when I said I'm tired of the reactions, what I meant is how people automatically assume "oh another Aulov mod steals stuff" and this one at least looks most normal so far.

The way it's done precludes it from being mounted as an addon.
It's an SDK 2007 mod. So at least technically, there's that.

I'm not arguing that it's not much of a mod to begin with.

Damn, my mistake thought I had my comments open.
I've got no real problem with the creator of this 'mod' I just believe if he really checked the comments and listened there most likely won't be anything here related to the matter.

The thing is that newcomers to moddb might think this is a mod and upload a map or a weapon reskin to the mods section which is not what you're meant to do and we really want those people who do upload those mappacks to the addons page to create a proper mod but its all about where they place it.

Sorry if I sounded rude in my previous comment just a bit ticked off with this all.
