The main plot of this mod is to patch and update Half-Life: Source, that was released in 2004, to the stage that it must to be. What does this mean? I would like to make Half-Life: Source use all Source Engine features, but with Half-Life 1 original mechanics. I have found Half-Life 2's December 2004 source code on the Internet and decided to use this December 2004 build for my mod. Why i decided to do the such thing? So i will explain it to you. This is the first release of Half-Life 2 source code, so, there are used some old stuff for Half-Life 2 Beta, so as you understand, it makes the entities from Half-Life: Source working practically like in original Half-Life 1. I have tested it and and some features that was broken in the latest releases of Half-Life: Source right now working in Half-Life: Source. So, if you are interested, you can help me in one way - just find other bugs that must to be fixed.

1.)This mod requires Half-Life: Source and Source SDK Base 2006 to be installed in Steam.

2.)To play Half-Life: Source 2013 version you need just to have been installed in Steam Half-Life: Source and Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.

Open job's:

C++ coder. I have the Source SDK 2013 version of Half-Life: Source and it look's really bad, than Half-Life: Source 2004. Because i also would like to port and fix Half-Life: Source to modern Source SDK 2013 version.

what do you mean by using all source engine features? to what extent
are you planning to add animation blending with pose parameters, bump maps and (improved?) specular maps on pre-existing textures, face flexes...?
if not, what exactly is the route you're going with this mod? just curious

I guess this is just an attempt to recreate what original retail version of Half-Life: Source was like, before Valve broke it by porting it to a newer Source Engine branch. Don't have high hopes for this guy, can't say if this is a successful project ( knowing the reputation of the person who made it), but let's hope for the best. To be fair, while he made tons of low-effort and weird wannabe-mods in the past, from the looks of things, he really loves Half-life: Source and Opposing Force with passion. This is almost sad, if you think about it.

You are right, man:) If seriously, i liked Half-Life: Source more than Black Mesa. It is just my opinion.

Hi! The main purpose is to fix an errors in Half-Life: Source ( that are pretty much ) to the stage like Half-Life 1 is looking. I mean, all Source Engine features, but with many bug fixes.

In "hl1_2004.rar" archive you can find also my current build. It is exist in "C++" folder. You will see here "src_mod" folder. Extract it, for example, to your Desktop. Compile the "Game_SDK.sln" with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003.

This is fantastic! It's the Half-Life Source how I always remembered it:)

The one issue that I can seem to find presently is that there is a one-second delay for much of the ingame audio, specifically when the player is walking, firing weapons, selecting weapons and activiating the flashlight---even the menu select sounds have this syncing issue. Is this something that is fixable on my end? Just curious to know.

Otherwise, this is perfect!

I think it was a widespread issue back in the day, and it's related to the command snd_mixahead? It should be "snd_mixahead 0.1".
