Cold Shift has 9 chapters, 6 taking place in Black Mesa and the other three taking place in an abandoned arctic base which you are teleported to before leaving Black Mesa. You play as Andrew Smith, a 24 year old scientist who worked in Sector H Research and Development before the incident.
