I've decided to put a Moddb page up for this due to the request I've received. This model pack replaces all models for Half-Life, Opfor, and Blue-Shift. But I also intend to replace models for these mods. Azure Sheep, Point of View, Sweet Half-Life, Escape, Case Closed, Decay, and my most favorite, Residual Point. Since Gman's Golden Model pack is somewhat either incomplete, or it taking a while to finish, I think i'll do my Ultimate Pack for Half-Life and it's Mods. Well what are you intending to replace, Luck3y Charms? Well, I intend to replace, yes, of course models. Sounds for Realistic effects like real sounding gunfire, And misc.
A new addition to Half-Life's extended zombie family - the Zombie Vortigaunt will be encountered on a rare basis in heavily infested parts of the facility. And as seen in the video, they are hostile to other Xenians.
This hostility towards the other aliens is apart of a sweeping change that was done to the monsters as a whole in order for them to behave more realistically. Initially Xen wildlife (bullsquids, headcrabs, etc.) were passive towards Nihilanth's military forces (vortigaunts, alien grunts, etc.) that were invading the facility with them. This is no longer the case.
Wildlife infesting the facility would become a problem for all parties involved. Given that they're obviously not going to be smart enough to know that a war was being fought over the base, creatures like headcrabs are going to pursue anything that looks like a suitable target that'll fit their needs.
This is a nice addition, but may I ask, what is the gameplay difference between a vortigaunt and a zombie vortigaunt?
Slower movement speed and sluggish attacks in exchange for higher health values. I'm also looking into getting them to prioritize melee attacks in favor of their electrical strikes while also removing the fear and group behaviors from their AI.
In order to avoid redundancy they won't be encountered on a regular basis like their healthy counterparts.
