It appears our goal of releasing the mod before 2023 is didn't make it. It is really hard to promise a release, heck even a demo while working with a such small team. Again, we're doing our best. Our decision for releasing the mod as an demo first still stands.

By the time i would like to make an Q/A (Question-Answer) related to the this mod! Ask your questions about this mod and we will be answering it.

News

2022 is coming to end but unfortunately not our mod.

We are actively working on the old maps, tying them together and trying to bring them quality but unfortunately it doesn't seem like it is gonna end till this year.

So we came up with decision, our goal will be releasing the demo of the mod before 2023

And finally there are some images of the chapters! (I don't know why we never posted it)

Oh boy look at the time it's 2022...

Sorry for neglecting the mod page for too long, i assure you we're not dead!(i just have been busy with university.)


We've been trying to finish the mod for very long time but since we are only 2 people working on the mod (also not working full time) it's not very possible to finish it early.

I've stated that this mod will be released in late 2020 or 2021 before but unfortunately we didn't make it but this time i'm determined to finish this mod this year hopefully.

Since i've upgraded my pc once again it will be easier for me to continue mod.

What's left to finish?

Um... Levels. Lots of levels, still improvising the maps. Also splash image for the mod.

Coding?

Lots of stuff we been trying to implement is finished so far and pretty much ready.

We will also start to share some screenshots of level design. The levels are pretty much generic actually


Hello fellow mod trackers! Hope 2021 is going good for you! It's been long time we posted update, we got some progress in our mod.

Big thanks to FranticDreamer, who helped us and saved lots of time from mod progress

Current progress:

We are currently polishing & connecting and finishing all the maps (it's because we made all the maps like a draft)

First 3 maps are almost finished so far.

About for the coding: We have completed the new weapons and about to finish coding part.

New Weapons:

We have classic opfor weapons: eagle, m249, sniperrifle

Other than that we finally will be having dual glock in the game which will be the main weapon that featuring the game

There is another stuff we implemented, was a concept we were thinking for Episode 2 but since we managed to made it early we will be having in first game.

Remember the healing pools in Xen? what if scientists wanted to bottle up some for using?

So it's basically portable medkit.

We wanted to use antidote model to act as bottle of xenwater since the model never made it to actual game and i thought it would fit pretty well.

We are thinking to make Xen chapter as well, this probably will be used on that level.

About Releasing The Mod:

Still no proper date but it's probably will be released in this year. We still need voice actor. Some help at mapping may make our progress faster.

About the current progress:

We are currently working on implementing new stuff to the mod, (Big thanks to Admer456 for keep helping us about coding and TWHL community.)

Also we are redoing all the chapters.

Voice Acting:

We finally managed find someone (Dimbeak) for main character. (and yes the main character will be talking!)

Yet we still need actor for Dr.Harrington character. If you are willing to work with us please reach us on Discord!

The Stuff We Implemented:

Since we got us an actor for main character, we have managed to make new pain, death, drown and barnacled sounds for the player. (and yet we still trying to improve and give variation to pain sounds)

On the other hand we are working on implementing new guns. Currently we have desert eagle (fully working) in the mod. We are planning to add dual glock and m249 (m249 is currently not working properly)

And also Barneys finally got new weapon variations. Now they can use Pyton, Desert Eagle, MP5, Shotgun and M249.

New NPCs:

We got some known monsters in mod like: Gonome, Pit Drone, Otis (from OP4), Panther, Archer, Barniel (From azure sheep and both have new sounds) Baby Panther (with variations, based on headcrab) and new houndeye variations! (we implemented them quite long ago but still want to keep it as secret for hype.)

About Releasing The Mod:

There are some bad news about releasing the mod. Unfortunately this mod will only work in Steam Half-Life and we were thinking about to release the mod around late 2020 but it's possibly will be delayed to 2021 since there are still so much work to do about chapters. Again, we can't promise a proper date since we missing and still looking for Experienced Voice Actors, Experienced Programmers (for making progress easier and implementing more stuff to mod) and maybe some helping at mapping.
