It's because "that" is not part of the singleplayer of Half-Life: Gold. It will be part of multiplayer, which isn't released yet.
Any chance you can work it into the SP?
I first finish multiplayer. Then, if the team will be extended, maybe.

You should use the Xash3D engine. It breaks limitations and allows for dynamic shadows.
