You certainly show that even old game engines still can kick ***.. I prefer this over any Crysis and what so ever!
I was maybe 12 when I first played Half-Life in 1998 and I don't think I've loved any game as much as it. I messed around with mapping when I was 13-14 but nothing came of it. Fast forward to when I was in my mid twenties and I finally began this. I'm past 30 now and still love it! I still think quality games are being produced still - but I prefer games with a clean art style. Once the screen is full of effects the detail is lost. I love old mods where peoples imaginations took center stage instead of the detail of art. Besides, this mod is about the limit of my art and design, so I could never make a mod for a more realistic looking game :p
:D Sounds like you're describing my resume here.. Same story for me even the age sounds similar.. Although I'm 29 now turning 30 in Jan. So I was even a little younger than you were.
Another great game to use your imagination was Operation Flashpoint (Arma series) Damn did I love creating and showing good cam scripts in that game. My hl modding career began in 2008 when I finished my Ofp modding career.
