Old school. It reminds me the first level of the Blue Shift.
Anyway, it is better to use light-textures except point light sources. Also, I suggest you to add some trims near the ceiling, 45-degree bevel, maybe.

Yap a solid suggestion. Try to use as little light entities as possible for simple regular ceiling lights. Sometimes in combo they can look great but not alone by themselves.

You can edit and adjust light entities within the lights.rad file just edit it with nodepad.
