You are a top secret operative who has been sent to uncover and destroy a secret experimental stealth fighter plane XX-83 stored in Hangar 16. Hangar 16 is defended by government operatives assigned to kill any unauthorized intruders. However, other worldly creature are also trying to penetrate the base, it's unknown what they are trying to accomplish, but they most likely want you dead. After destroying the project, an extraction helicopter will be sent to extract you from the base before things go south.

Extremely similar to Seek and Destroy map from '99. The whole premise of destroying a jet and even starting in a flooded rocky environment with soldiers is the same, I was having flashbacks. Were you inspired by that?

If this is your first map, then it's pretty good. Get to know your tools more, for example there is a handy cylinder brush tool you could have used to make more realistic looking barrels. Try adding more detail to your maps too, more props like trashcans, tables etc. Crates are a great way to populate empty rooms without spending too much time for example.

And finally, all you need to include is the .bsp file if you don't have any other custom content, regardless of which editor you have used to create the map.

The premise of having to infiltrate a base to blow up a Stealth Bomber sounds very familiar. There used to be a SP map back in 1999 that delivered the exact same thing. Kinda nice though. Things keep repeating itself. The circle is complete..

Not a bad little map, though quite short and with some unusual level design choices.

A couple of things to consider next time:

1. You might want to try some other kinds of primitive brushes. It looks like everything in this map is made with basic blocks, even the barrels :P
2. Don't just hit "Fit" on all your textures. Stretched and squashed textures look really bad in-game and you also put more pressure on the compile tools, sometimes crashing them completely
3. Look up the info_node entity and use it. Your enemies will be much smarter and more challenging when they can navigate around your map. Twhl.info

Also, a small quibble with regards to ModDB, but technically this is an addon, not a mod. Also you only need to include the .bsp file (and the .nod/.nrp files from the graphs directory when you start using info_nodes :P), not the VDK stuff.

those barrels are the most rectangular barrels i've ever seen in my life
he should simply use official valve prefab pack that has proper barrels i think
